Wright Brand Foods, Inc. was a meat-packing company located in Vernon, Texas, that was eventually bought by the Tyson Foods corporation in 2001. Begun in 1922 by Egbert Eggleston, what would eventually become a multimillion-dollar business started out in the back of a local grocery store.

Zel writes a very disappointing review on consumeraffaris.com, "As others have stated, Wright Bacon USED to be amazing! It was perfect! But they have absolutely changed something. Because I'm sensitive to certain ingredients that cause migraines, I would have to guess they have now abandoned all integrity and are now just like the worst of the worst in meats. It's really sad. Due to the chemicals that are being used to create fake flavor, color, & preservation... instead of, properly SMOKING THE MEAT..."
