Any (Former Employee) says"Don't waste your time. This place is a mess. The CEO Ms. Golden is a bully and always has her hands in EVERYTHING. She needs to retire. All she cares about is getting patients in. It is unsafe but they will watch staff on camera all day. If you want to keep your license, stay away!! You might leave work with a broken something because they take any and all patients."

RN Charge Nurse (Current Employee) says"Management is awful. If you run into problems at work don't count on management to help. You're safety is always at risk. I've been kicked in the stomach, bitten, punched in the face, and spit at multiple times and they don't do anything about it. The best part of working there was knowing i get to go home afterwards. I've witnessed staff get choked, beat up and verbally and physically assaulted by clients. Within 5 years and counting no raises were given. Trust me it's not what you expect. Save yourself the trouble and don't apply here. Go somewhere were you appreciated and don't have to qorry Cons: unfair breaks, no raises, have to look over shoulder 24/7, management, favoritism"
Housekeeper (Former Employee) says"Where do i start, they dont care about their employees or the patients. They beats the patients, drugs them up, and walks around as if they are better than the patients, and wonder why a nurse or community counselor are always getting attacked or becoming patient targets. Its very unsanitary, i broke out daily from the filthiness of that place. You never know when youre going to get attacked at this place. Ive watched nurses get scalped, counselors nose get broken. I pra for anyone wanting to work there"
Culinary Cook (Former Employee) says"I believed that the supervisor and the HR worker worked together to get me fired. They called me from a cell phone discussing an issue I had. Then I didn't even know my supervisor was in the office. that was very inappropriate that they did that. I only had a verbal warning and they quickly fired me."

Management doesn't care no matter how much you complain to them nothing changes surprised this place hasn't been shut down yet. Cons: Short breaks, short of staff and management doesnt care"

maintenance (Former Employee) says"As a former employee,I was there for almost 4 years.Recently I was fired do to a patient escape.Anyway,there are some people working there that are decent and really care about the patients..The Admin however actually care about profits and bonuses..I know,this is typical of a fired employee but As far as patient safety and comfort,,they would ratther spend multi thousands on floors paint and remodell,,The HVAC,,the most important thing greatly lacked...The staff are stretched much to thin as they are only needed when cencus is high,,,I was in maintenance and got to see ALL DEPARTMENTS and the inner workings.....My imediate boss is a decent man,,He really cares about His staff and patients,,His boss however will thow ANYONE under the bus to save his own hide....For the most part,the regular staff does the best they can with what they've got,,,...The management however lacks greatly..So there ya go,,if the management only cares about profits,you can make your own dtermination as to how your treatment will be... Cons: having management constraints so tight that you are not able to effectively be all you can be"

It is very apparent that management is more concerned with profits than with patient care or employee morale."

Meet some great ppl but was always short staffed and your working with mentally ill patients and never knew what they could do..15 min checks when you have to deal with up to 30 patients by yourself. I would not recommend this job to anyone unless you just really need a job. Cons: Always short staff and not safe"

Upper management doesn't care or don't know what to do with this place. If you like to dread going into work, dip and dodge a punch or spit from some of those aggressive patients, and feel underappreciated by all means put in an application. Cons: Everything else"

Lazy employees are rewarded, while if you work hard and get noticed the penalties tend to stack up. It's a very backward system. The nurses on whole are great to work with, as are the patients. Administration is constantly asking more from employees with no added benefits or compensation. Under-staffing is also a large problem."

Management expects work to take priority over all things in your life. Sick kid? Doesn't matter! Death in the family? Doesn't matter! The hospital always comes first. Makes it very difficult to have life outside of work. Working at the hospital can easily become your life and then you'll feel like you should be a patient. No worries there, this money grubbing organization provides psychiatric services to employees- which is a nice touch. In order to be successful in this setting, one should be willing to sacrifice their dignity, integrity, healthy relationships, and sanity. Negotiate your pay. Every week there's a "budget crisis" this hospital generates the largest revenue for UHS- insist they pay you your worth. Cons: Unethical, unprofessional, not worth the stress"

Management does not treat all employees equal. Cons: Poor management, understaffed, bad working conditions"
