TravelCenters of America LLC is the largest publicly traded full-service travel center company in the United States. The company operates full service centers, convenience stores, and restaurants under the TravelCenters of America, TA, Petro, Petro Stopping Centers, and Quaker Steak & Lube brands. TravelCenters of America is headquartered in Westlake, Ohio, operates in 43 U.S. states and 1 Canadian province, and employs more than 20,000 people, as of 2018.

One angry ex-employee shared this in a review "Working in TravelCenters of America is a dead end job. You are on a 3minute cleaning time for large and small showers and responsibilities are ridiculous. Unfair to porter's to do all the cleaning as 1 person. While others just stand and watch you run like crazy. No raises either."

"I worked at TravelCenters of America full-time for more than 8 years Cons: It's like walking on egg shells when dealing with management and others. Anyone will throw another employee under the bus. Lazy employees are retained out of fear of retribution. Brown nosing of management is encouraged. Micro-management abounds, every communication is critiqued if not from someone who is favored. The biggest lie was that the CEO promised that the reductions in force last spring would be the last...that's why he wanted them to be completed at one time. 7 months later, additional people lost jobs to "right size" the company. Would not recommend this employer where dedicated work means nothing but only who improves the ego of their managers. There is also no professional external training encouraged or permitted."

"Working with truck drivers during COVID is a no. A lot aren’t clean, they’re rude, and don’t wear masks. No hazard pay and the regular pay is horrid too yet we are a multi million dollar company. "I worked for this location TravelCenters of America Petro for 4 years and 4 months I found the work environment to be scary at the least no advancements and management is very disrespectful and bully to employees You will do more than your paid for 2 shifts worth for one .We had sick time available to us but if we used it there was a serious problem. It was not a very mature and healthy work environment to work in.They do not keep customer service attendant / Porter past 5 years."

"If I could rate this no stars I would. The manager for Pizza Hut is a horrible manager. they never train newcomers properly. Hires a bunch a lazy people and makes them into leads even though all they do is sit in the back while on their phones. We had many unprofessional people work here, people who steal not only food but money as well and get promoted. Has employees pay for disposable masks while her favorites gets them for free. I would work my hardest everyday and go above and beyond, I would do the tasks of shift leads and not get the pay for it since the Manager is a cheapskate. So if you're looking to become shift lead and expect a higher pay I suggest you look somewhere else. In conclusion the management here is a joke and very unprofessional and you can find a way better place to work at :) Cons: Management"

"So tonight I finally had enough. I am 51 and I have been working since I was 16. This company might just be the worst I have ever worked for......and I was a grunt in the Army! I was put on the shop floor without being fully trained, but I managed to the TSA job. I was appearently rated the number 1 TSA in the company by road squad."

"Worst company I have EVER worked for in Management role. I should have quit on Day 1 when I returned from training and was immediately written up and threatened that I would be let go should my location fail another inspection having failed previous inspections prior to my arrival and being inspected in first day at store. I knew this was a horrible working environment then and it didn't get much better. Long hours and employee turnover made it almost impossible to enjoy work. You are told you have to complete administrative work by 11am and spend rest of time as an employee on front line, which made it extremely difficult to complete managerial work. Do NOT take a GM role for any concept at TA. You will regret it. Cons: long hours, poor pay. terrible support"

"The job itself is pretty easy the job would be better if management was better . They have General managers that sleep with employees more than one at a time . If the manager doesn’t find You as an attractive person or someone they would like to have intercourse with your pay is going to be Terrible only people that get big raises are those people . The managers expect crew to do their job for them then complain when everything isn’t done end of shift . The managers don’t like lgbt people they have smart remarks even customers can hear them . Basically management breaks all the rules and the rest of us get in trouble for any simple thing. And this is just the Taco Bell . "A normal day sounds like this. I go to work at 4pm and begin unburying the shop from the mess that the day crew office employees created. 75% of the time we were swamped with work orders at 3:30 and all day shift people except for managers go home early. As soon as I get there the managers who are supposed to be there run out the door with no update of what’s going on or even a bye for the day. I then attempt to get things steady and organized with no help. The employees are either drug addicts or alcoholics with no respect for anyone and the managers know they work high or drunk an Cons: The entire company and management are shady"

"I followed the chain of command regarding a hostile work environment regarding another employee starting with shift manager to assistant manager to general manager to site manager to district manager. They ignore the issue. So i left because I didn't feel comfortable because of the threats. Cons: Management doesn't care about employees safety, health, or its customers.."

"Place is the absolute worst I've ever worked at, spent 4 years there without a single performance review or raise, meanwhile all day shift employees or ones that fit in their clique get multiple raises per year. The manager and general manager are the most toxic high school minded people I have ever been involved with. They're criminals and falsified write ups to make it look like staged punishment when in reality they force you to sign multiple write ups at once."

"The high school drama and favoritism is a constant problem there. When things come into play with management to solve issues they are usually never done. When it comes to higher officials such as district management they sweep your complaints "under the rug"."

"Don\'t work for TA. Senior mgmt only is interested their senior cronies. They dump employees to pay to bring in more worthless execs. The CEO is the biggest two-faced liar of all. He has no interest in the well being of the employees. Tells employees they won\'t lose jobs, then cuts payroll months later. Get out if you\'re working there., otherwise, be prepared to stick your nose further up your manager\'s backside."
