Former Employee - Operations says

"I worked at Klein Tools full-time for more than a year Cons: This is the worst run company from an operational standpoint than any other company I have ever worked for. Management does nothing except talk out of both sides of their mouth. Do NOT even consider taking a job in Customer Service or the Credit/Accounting Department. HR does nothing either, so don't bother to escalate anything. It was, by far, the worst experience of my career. Management is ALLOWED to bully you, criticize you, curse at you... all while they do NOTHING and their employees suffer daily. I have never seen employee turnover at such a high rate but it is no surprise why. Once again, HR should recognize this and put two and two together with the many complaints they receive about these Managers and Directors. I saw first hand lying, stealing, and mistreatment of employees from management, things that you don't think exist in the workplace in the modern age we live in. Nothing will change until the dinosaurs retire and they they replace key people in HR. Get a job anywhere else but here. Trust me on this."

"I worked at Klein Tools full-time Cons: Unprofessional corporate leaders that like to micromanage."

"I worked at Klein Tools full-time for more than a year Cons: Klein Tools is an established company with some nice family values, however, if you're not a Klein you shouldn't waste your time. There are some great people who work at Klein but sadly their hard work goes unnoticed because management takes credit for their ideas. Overall the management team (managers, directors, VPs, and above) is made up of a fairly lazy group of men who sit back and burn out their team members with unrealistic goals and timelines. The HR department is sadly stuck in the stone age and they haven't made any necessary changes to keep up with the employment trends. Yes, they added a ping pong table to appeal to the millennial crowd, but how about adding more valuable benefits that employees will appreciate (student loan assistance or work from home). No vacation time is given during the first 6 months of employment and then it's accrued after that and almost impossible to plan ahead. This leads to additional burn out and turn over. They have unlimited sick/personal days but the second you take one it's automatically assumed you're either lazy or on a job interview and after, you're watched like a hawk. At the end of the day, Klein's culture doesn't promote a healthy work/life balance or sufficient growth opportunities due to poor senior management."

Former Employee - Sales says

"I worked at Klein Tools full-time for more than 3 years Cons: Poor management and leadership. They don't really care about their employees, only what you can do for them. Compensation is lower than industry averages. Never a clear direction and they constantly changes their minds while contradicting previous decisions made."

Current Employee - Team Leader says

"I have been working at Klein Tools full-time for more than 3 years Cons: High turnover, ZERO job security, Klein Family involved in everything you do, HIGH benefits, Corporate HR is sneaky and walks people out, people are not valued"

Former Employee - Machine Operator says

"I worked at Klein Tools full-time for less than a year Cons: Everything and then some. Poor and inexperienced management. No structure, low pay with high benefits. insurance based out of Chicago rather than Texas very high premium's ."

"I worked at Klein Tools for more than a year Cons: No team environment encouraged. NO loyalty to their employees. Horrible communication and back stabbing. If you "think" you're working hard, be prepared to stop dead in your tracks if you don't cya."

"I have been working at Klein Tools Cons: Toxic managerial don't allow workers to get better positions in the company easily. They prefer to hire temporary people for better positions to pay them minimum wage permited in Klein tools."

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"I worked at Klein Tools full-time for more than a year Cons: Relabel if it is too hard to design in-house, poor long term planning skills from middle and upper management"

Former Employee - Senior Level Executive says

"I worked at Klein Tools full-time for more than 5 years Cons: The management is not open or honest with employees. The CEO has a stange obsession with Texas. The company pay salary grade is below average and the benfits have gone down hill."

Customer Service Representative (Current Employee) says

"Don't even waste your time! They promise a great work environment where everyone gets along and has fun. This is not the case. There is a double standard, and if you don't fit in with the cliche like nature in the company you will be threatened with loosing your job. There is a few women that work they that make it their propriety to make life difficult within the company for a few people while management turns a blind eye. If you do not listen to these women even if you do not think it is right you will know by the way you are treated. Company lacks morals and values. I was so excited to work here and loved it until I got to find out the true structure. Management will not do anything to help you or coach you. It is a he said she said over asking direct questions. Assumptions are what management believes is reliable. It's sad. My staying here is temporary."

CSR - Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) says

"I loved this job so much and wanted to build a career out of it. Sadly, I decided to leave due to a group of co-workers that made the work environment feel uncomfortable. When I did communicate my concerns I was told tenure takes priority. I wish the opportunity to be heard as an employee was greater."

Customer Service Representative (Current Employee) says

"No advancement opportunities even though it was promised. Double standards. No coaching, training, procedures, or respect. Talk down to clients as well as employees. Encouraged to yell and raise your voice if someone is not understood. Will find any reason to fault you."

Customer Service Representative (Current Employee) says

"I was extremely excited to start working with this company, everything went well for a bit. There is a lack of training, procedure and management within the company structure. I feel bad because they try to relay a sense of family but there seems to be a few select people that run the actual day to day business and it Is not management. Sadly they watch co-workers struggle rather than assisting. The ideas the company has is great however they are not held up by tenured employees or by management. Slightly catty environment, which I personally do not have time for."

CSR - Customer Service Representative (Current Employee) says

"Fun, productive place to work however lack of advancement, work place culture does have a click like other work environments do. Each standard for each employee is different. Management does listen to the wants and needs of the customers as well as employees but there is no feedback giving for employees."

Customer Service Representative (Current Employee) says

"There is a lot I can say about this job but I'll keep it short and sweet. I had expected more form management and employees. This isn't a place for sensitive people. You will be either included or excluded within the company. Great compensation and easy work though. Benefits are ok."
