Movie Star, Inc. is a New York City-based manufacturer, marketer and seller of lingerie, sleepwear and other types of clothing. Organized in 1935 and formerly known as Sanmark Stardust, Inc., the company became Movie Star, Inc. in 1992. It was acquired by Frederick's of Hollywood in 2006, who sold the company to Dolce Vita Intimates in 2010.

A former Residential Aide in Norwalk, CT claims the Pay is No good at Star Inc, in a review published by INDEED: Working at this company can be very stressful. They ask for too much for the pay given. No raises, hardly room for job advancement. Staff is not taken into consideration. I took another position in the company the required a lot more responsibility and physical work and my pay was decreased.
