Team Member (Former Employee) says

"At first when you know nothing, they train you badly and misinform you until they want to later on tell you the “proper” way of doing things. They will have people work on one station for the majority of their shifts and stick to it rather than allowing them to learn the proper way to advance in the company, they teach the other stations in a modified way to fill in call-outs or when understaffed. Cons: Taken advantage of and promises not kept by management"

staff multifuncional (Former Employee) says

"En el contrato te dicen que te daran un horario. Y te lo acaban cambiando, solo te lo dicen para que quieras trabajar ahi, los gerentes se creen mucho y es super pesado el trabajo, acabas o quemado o lesionado porque no te capacitan adecuadamente... Tengan cuidado de a donde ingresaran"

Team Member (Former Employee) says

"Management is never on the line. They favor their friends and family. They lie to your face. They dont train you. youre left to figure it out yourself Cons: Not feeling protected or valued"

Supervisor (Former Employee) says

"No pagan lo que ofrecen en la postulación, te piden trabajar horas extras sin goce de sueldo Cons: horas extra sin pagar"

Manager (Former Employee) says

"The management is an absolute joke and the whole place is run by a selfish buffoon. The employees just do whatever they want, steal food, smoke pot in the storage out back, insult everyone and everything - it’s a disgusting place hidden behind a big name. -10/10 would only recommend if you want to waste your own time and get talked down to by a couple of balding losers who are stuck in the 90’s. Cons: Literally every single part"

Team Member (Former Employee) says

"I got sexually harassed(with nothing done about it by management even when I reported it), worked like a dog, and had to beg to be trained so i could move up. Cons: wont train you to move up"

Grill Cook/Cashier (Current Employee) says

"The Darien in Shake Shack have young managers who work there. That’s cool, but when managers hire their friends and family then they show a sense of favoritism. I’ve worked at the Shake Shack in Darien, CT and every time I worked I always worked hard. Those favorites were being moved in a better position just starting there. Terrible place to work, long hours and little pay. I’ve heard the staff say racist things about guests and that’s unacceptable, because I don’t laugh at those things I was considered not in “the crew” Andy, the store manager is gullible and naive to a bunch of things. The favorites steal food and nothing happens, but others get written up. Honestly, the worst place I’ve ever worked they’re not in order at all plus they hire people who doesn’t know proper English it’s always slang🙄 Cons: Favoritism, long hours no penny’s on the dollar, stressful environment"

Shake shack (Former Employee) says

"Shake shack WeHo had to be maybe one of the worst jobs/shacks i ever worked in my life lots of favoritism and corrupt manager tactics as well as unfair mistreatment to new hires. Even the general manager was terrible at his job. Cons: Manager dictatorship unfair mistreatment managers scolding you and saying you don’t matter"

Team Member (Former Employee) says

"sucks, horrible experience. Pretty sure one of my managers was racist. Shake shack is the one and only reason i will never ever work for fast food again. You get paid every week though and thats gonna be your only excuse to get up an go in that horrid place ever again. Cons: Everything else"

Team Member (Former Employee) says

"Shake Shack is not a place of “positivity and motivation” like they say it’s a place of hard labor and for me being a cook it was not worth it worst job experience..Due to me being injured and burned from hot oil giving me 2nd degree burns at that work place and i didn’t even get payed for a 42 hour work week and never got a pay check for a week leave from being injured at work. and managers were not helpful. will never pay for that business again."

Cashier/Customer Service (Former Employee) says

"very ghetto place one of the workers tried to steal my phone the manager didn't even care.. they show favoritism in there.. instead of her getting in trouble the hr people yell at me instead because the manager call them first and lied about something... mostly everybody in there childish and not a comfortable place to work"

Team Leader (Former Employee) says

"Worst job ever and they are not clean some nights only 3 ppl are on cleaning crew when everything is dirty with no help also they treat everyone like shittt and it’s unfair to the community and environment"

Cashier (Former Employee) says

"They are unfair when it comes to there team members an the mangers are rude an some show favoritism to certain employees when everybody suppose to be treated fairly"

Cashier/Customer Service (Former Employee) says

"Worst job I ever had. Fiancée got critically ill and management not sympathetic to my situation medically with him. They only gave him a 30%survival rate after open heart surgery and wouldn’t give me non paid time off while he was critical. Company has no consideration of what their employee’s may be going through at home when they leave the restaurant and they don’t care!!!"

Team Member (Former Employee) says

"Worked at a busy location making millions of dollars yet we cant get a free meal.. Being understaffed overworked for minimum pay"

Shake shack team member (Former Employee) says

"If your looking for a good secure job this place is noy it they are unorganized, horrible management and always hiring and firing. Immature young people who keep a hostile environment. You can ask for help all you want and alert management nothing will be done. Save yourslef the headaches of deal with this company its not worth the stress or pay"

BOH Team Member (Former Employee) says

"I felt played working there didn’t get paid all my money barely received hours I will never rehire there . Bad attitudes towards the employees who work there . Doesn’t answer the phone at all . Just very unorganized in general."

Line Cook/Prep Cook (Former Employee) says

"Good place to work at , management is the huge problem i think in the company , from having " teachers pets " to having their own favorite group of people . Personally i think only the ones that are in the " group " are the ones to reach management. Management team is the worse ive seen in my 10 yrs in a kitchen, its high scholall over again"

Team member (Former Employee) says

"The food is good, the customer service is poor, I was not proud to be apart of the team. I was bullied by coworkers and the mangers. I was burned by my manger when she poured hot oil in my shoe.. If you like fooling around on the job it's a place for you."

Employee (Former Employee) says

"The managers there are horrible ! They talk about all the customers! It’s very hard to get overtime your minimum of hours is 25 can’t get over ! It’s not worth the pay at all"
