Sally Cecilia Hawkins (born 27 April 1976) is an English actress. She is the recipient of numerous accolades including a Golden Globe Award and the Silver Bear for Best Actress, and has been nominated for two Academy Awards.

After graduating from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, Hawkins started her career as a stage actor in productions such as Romeo and Juliet (playing Juliet), Much Ado About Nothing, and A Midsummer Night's Dream. Her first major role was in Mike Leigh's All or Nothing in 2002. She continued working with Leigh, appearing in a supporting role in Vera Drake (2004) and taking the lead in Happy-Go-Lucky (2008), for which she won several awards, including the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy and the Silver Bear for Best Actress.

Hawkins appeared in two Woody Allen films, Cassandra's Dream (2007) and Blue Jasmine (2013); for the latter, she received a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. She went on to play the lead role in Made in Dagenham (2010), Paddington (2014), Maudie (2016), and Paddington 2 (2017), and appeared in Godzilla (2014) and Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019). For starring as a mute cleaning woman in the fantasy horror film The Shape of Water (2017), Hawkins earned acclaim and received a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Actress.

Hawkins has also appeared in stage productions with the Royal Court Theatre in London, and in 2010, she made her Broadway debut in Mrs. Warren's Profession. In 2012, she starred in Constellations at the Royal Court Theatre, which later transferred to the Duke of York's Theatre in the West End. On television, she appeared in the BBC adaptations of Tipping The Velvet (2002) as Zena Blake, and Fingersmith (2005) as Sue Trinder. She also appeared as Anne Elliot in Persuasion (2007), ITV's adaptation of Jane Austen's novel.

One member of the audience shares some toughts about Sally Hawkins accent in Blue Jasmine, "Not the WORST, and I seemed to be the only one who thought so but the first that comes to mind for me is Sally Hawkins jn Blue Jasmine. She’s a great actress but she slipped out of the accent like every 4th word it was just very weird sounding, and didn’t help that Cate Blanchett accent was pretty solid."

Tell the world why Sally Hawkins sucks!

"Wasting time!!!! I've waited for 3weeks for them to install my washing machine but nobody comes. Received sms they are coming but nobody comes! Called the customer service and they said no service booked for me even though I have received confirmation via sms. What a joke!!!! Then I have to wait for next available date for the engineer to come!!!"

Jonny Varley says

"Absolutely shocking service. Integrated cooker installed incorrectly, waited over an hour to speak someone to be fobbed off that they will call back the following week. Surprisingly no call back received, manage to get a response via twitter to be told it will be another 3 weeks for the issue to be rectified. Not even offered a refund for the cost of installation and now we are without an oven with a baby due any day. Wouldn’t bother using these clowns for any installation, repairs etc."

"And again the warranty return delivery was showing on the tracking page (and text messages) for delivery between 10.05 and 14.05 today. Checked the portal at 13.00 and it had changed to delivery in two days time!!!!!!!!! Call to Customer None Service was cut-off after 30 minutes. A little trick here - select option for sales calls (they want your new business) and then get to the top of the Customer None Service queue. A well trained (at fobbing off) bloke on the phone fobbed me off and then dumped me on a very surprised person at the repair depot. I suggested that I collect the laptop as I could get there in 40 minutes - NOT ALLOWED despite me suggesting I would have more success at collecting than them delivering. Where does this leave me? Waiting in again during the delivery window and then finding that they're not coming. I HAVE VERY LITTLE FAITH IN TEAM KNOWNOTHING. Any suggestions on my options when they don't turn up next time???"
