Acoording AUBURN PUB WEBSITE report back in November 2013 it seemed everyone in the audience saw racism in stand-up comedian Godfrey’s Oct. 15 set at Auburn Public Theater. The discussion was prompted by reactions to the theater's performance by stand-up comedian Godfrey. Some people walked out of the show, one of whom accused the performer of being racist against white people. The comedian also caused controversy by asking the audience about San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick's protest of the national anthem, and the Oct. 24 panel discussed the controversy in depth. .
