Lorraine shares her disappointing experience on sitejabber.com, "I used to watch food network for the cooking shows. I loved to watch them and then try it myself. Now all I see is competition shows that are very uninteresting. I do not care who can Beat Bobby Flay or make an edible meal out of a basket of ingredients I would never even consider buying. Also, I love Guy But do not have to see him running around a grocery store or hanging out at his ranch talking to other chefs. You need to go back to your old format and forget the competition shows."

I was recently suspended for something i didn’t do and have yet to see the evidence they claim to have. The managers are inhuman. They look over the people with potential and work you into the ground. Would not recommend."

Every time I walked in, cashiers were different, management was all over the place, no solid answers when you needed help; everyone would tell you something different. Cons: You have to pay to work there, the union does nothing for you when you need help. Short breaks, every person on the management team is on a different page, low wage, management will side with the costumer over worker, management values costumers over worker"

Only good thing I can about giants foods is that it is easy to get hired on. Great for kids going to school who need gas money. If you want a minimal wage job with part time hours. This is the place for you."

Seafood Clerk (Former Employee) says"Awful place to work for. I applied to be a pharmacist they put me in the sea food after one week I became ill and called out sick for two days. When I got back they fired me telling me I had unexcused absences. I guess next time that happens I’ll just go cough on the food if that’s what they want. Especially during these troubling times to fire somebody because I was not feeling well. I don’t think that’s right whatsoever. Giant is a horrible place to work for. $10 starting pay. Orientation is the biggest joke. I’ve seen in my life. Poorly run poorly organized company. Stay away from this place. Cons: Too many to list"

At first it was a great place to work but over the years it has become nothing more then stressful sprinkled with managers who have no idea what they are doing. The job is easy as long as you don't care about being on your feet all day. Starting out you will have the lowest seniority so expect a small amount of hours at the lowest pay."

This was THE ghetto-est place I have ever worked. The year before I arrived, I was told that workers didn't even get Thanksgiving off (isn't that illegal?!), and that the fact we were getting Thanksgiving off was be perceived by management/HR as a great privilege. There is a regulated lunch time shift: you either have lunch at 12pm or 1pm for 1 hour. Even as a FT employee I had to clock in and out every day. It was some real Charles-Dickens era BS."

Typical asian style company - micromanagement and bureaucracy. Chaotic authority of departments management, some manager tend to give order and rule people who were not belonging to their department, management people likes to play power more than doing constructive work."
