The Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University Villingen-Schwenningen (University of Cooperative Education) is one of twelve locations of the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University. It currently has around 2500 students in the faculties of social services and economics. More than 900 companies from Baden-Württemberg and other German states are involved in the educational concept as dual partners. Ulrich Kotthaus has been rector of the DHBW Villingen-Schwenningen since 2018. Since 2017 Torsten Bleich has been Vice Rector and since 2020 Annabelle Böttcher. The administrative director is Andreas Heidinger.

An angry former student share this on Google "I have been studying medium sized companies at DHBW VS since October 2016. Organization, administration, communication and premises are absolutely useless! There is a lot of emphasis on external industry professors, which usually makes the lectures meaningless. Of course, there were also some professors who couldn't make a good impression, have no organization and nobody takes anything seriously".
