"Reading other reviews, I would say it is a fair representation of the company. If you value work place culture, it is HIGHLY toxic. Another review stated your work relationships are based off ones dislike of the company. That is very accurate. It was stressful to come to work to discuss the same issues and nothing changed. You get used to keeping your head down and putting up with it OR just get a new job. You can get paid the same if not more and have better work environment. Statistics say people quit the boss not the job. Again this is true. Having worked at 5 different stores not much changes and asking other associates at different stores about their environment across the board it all seems the same. My 6 month temp job turned into over 4 years. While I gained lots of work experience I feel much of my time was wasted as a self started this is not an ideal work place. The corporate environment prefers those who think within the box if you throw ideas for improvement or even mention a long term issue and ideas on how to fix it you get targeted immediately. Those who come in from outside the company have nothing good to say about the owner and how he allows things to be run (based on one on one interviews with them). They often end up leaving. This should speak for itself on workplace culture. You almost have to be born into it to be able to handle it. It's more of less the fact you get used to it not because it is right or wrong but just because that is how it is and how it will always be. Also, this company doesn't follow it's own policies what one person can be let go Cons: management, workplace culture, gossip"

"There’s been no update with the physical location of my order since December 4th. I’ve contacted Coastal via chat support twice for assistance and told I just need to wait longer. Here we are the 24th of December and there’s still no update to let me know where the package is.

Every time I’ve asked at point is the package declared lost, I’m told normally they would ship me new contacts if there was no change after 48 hours, but that I need to just wait right now. I would never use Coastal again in the future. The customer service leaves a lot to be desired."

"I don’t like the glasses. They’re flimsy and cheaply made and well,although they didn’t cost much, it literally feels like they will fall apart easily. There’s an area that seems like a hot glue gun was used to put these glasses together. You get what you paid for so yes, $60 gets you a frame that you’ll probably never wear. Pay more and get better quality. I will say, I have gotten a $60 something pair of glasses at America’s Best and those were sturdy enough and those recently broke after years of having them. Thank you!"

"Glasses arrived unusable. Despite three separate assurances (in print, in chat session) that the bifocal would be a 'flat top', the lenses instead were progressives. The base curves were not proper. I realized the glasses were unusable in 30 seconds. Fortunately they refunded my payment promptly and made good arrangement (prepaid USPS label) to return them."

"Got an email saying that my order was ready, including a tracking number.... 4 days ago. Still not shipped out. A call to their Call Center in the Philippines, including a chat with a manager revealed nothing. A promised call back never happened. Are they ready for shipment or not? Are they even completed or not? Either way, I'm ok, just don't TELL me they're ready, and then NOT let them be shipped. I get that it's December, and the USPS is super busy, but these don't show as even being GIVEN to USPS. Seems weird. This isn't the first order that's taken a long time (3+ weeks) to receive. but it's likely to be my last. Bummer to be soured on a product before I get it, because their ops is so bad."
