CarPlay is an Apple standard that enables a car radio or head unit to be a display and a controller for an iOS device. It is available on all iPhone models beginning with iPhone 5 running iOS 7.1 or later.

According to Apple's website, all major vehicle manufacturers are licensing CarPlay. Vehicles without CarPlay can have vehicle audio products from automotive aftermarket suppliers fitted.

David Gewirtz mentioned for ZD Net the bad about CatPlay, "CarPlay is incredibly limited. It supports a few audio apps (radio station apps, podcast apps, and music player apps), but that's about it. Even though there's a nice screen, YouTube (even with the car in park and the emergency break engaged) is simply not available, nor is any other video, including my purchased iTunes videos. If you think you're going to watch a quick tool show while your wife explores Walgreens, you're out of luck. Just prop up your phone and do it the old fashioned way."

Former Employee - Management says

"I worked at Union Tank Car full-time for more than 3 years Cons: Systems, policies and processes are antiquated. They recently started some system upgrades, but the company is slow at implementation because they lack change management abilities. The personnel policy manual had not been updated since 2005, and they were still using an AS400 system! Old school way of thinking and good ol' boy system exist at corporate and in the shops. Many corporate staff and leadership have been with the company for years, and they do not have the ability to implement best practices - their heads are in the sand with the proverbial "this is how we have always done it" mindset. This also means that leadership and shop management lack the ability to implement true process improvements. Last but not least - in general, this company does not care about its people, the ones who manage the shops and the ones who do the work. They only seem to care about production....which should lead to profits."

Former Employee - Repair Technician says

"I worked at Union Tank Car full-time for more than a year Cons: You have to cover the lead mans hours of work while he sits in the office. You get very little notice if mandatory overtime is required (because hours weren’t met from management not doing their part) if you are going to be needed to go out of state for a job call out (hope you can drop things in a minute notice and be ready to leave) People that are more that qualified to do advanced jobs are over looks and left to do low grade work and looked down on, or never give the jobs to do (because why not let you shine at you job....right??) and others that kiss up to the boss or talk a good game are given praise. Management covers up each other’s shady acts Pay isn’t that great, actually it’s the worst for the type of work your going to be doing. Your going to be working on cars that contain highly toxic or even deadly don’t get paid hazardous pay (just straight pay) half the time management doesn’t even go over the “safe work procedures” needed to work on these cars, half the time the paper work is incomplete....if you don’t follow the unwritten process you get in trouble, or even hurt. (Management is covered though)"

Current Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"I have been working at Union Tank Car full-time for more than 10 years Cons: To much networking &, schmoozing to get promoted. Not enough focus on earning increased responsibilities based on hard work and increasing your value to the organization. To much grandstanding & self promotion. To many inexperienced people put in upper management . Using failed business models from out of business rail companies is a bad idea."

Former Employee - Welder/Fabricator says

"I worked at Union Tank Car full-time for more than 5 years Cons: Admin is biased. You’re job is secure if you get in good with the “white hats”. Not a safe environment, they preach safety but don’t enforce it. Whatever you do, don’t ever injure yourself while working or else!! Watch out for that big X on your back. The turnaround rate is astronomical and they have massive workforce reductions every few years. Make employees (in certain areas) work 7 days a week without days off and if by chance the employee takes a day off, they basically are punished! Hopefully, you’ll read this review and it’ll change your decision about applying there. Otherwise, you’ll find yourself having to take medications just to make it thru one 8 hour shift. (Seriously) This review is honestly written from my own personal experience, the killing part is......if you ask a current employee about any of it, they’ll deny, deny, deny due to fear of losing their job!! The company is aware they have zero local competition which enables them to enforce their policies & procedures that change on an “as needed basis”and employees will have to accept their offensive\derogatory comments or behaviors because they really really need their jobs!!! Very sad situation:("

Former Employee - Welder/Fabricator says

"I worked at Union Tank Car full-time for less than a year Cons: I was working in Wichita, when I got a call from UTLX in El Dorado, KS. to come in and do the hiring paperwork and process. I told my supervisor that I had to go , and explained that it was 4 dollars an hour more than I was making, and a 10 minute drive to work instead of 30. I lost my job upon leaving to go to El Dorado, and in the 30 minutes that it took me to get there, UTLX had left me a voicemail saying that my background check PROBABLY wouldn't clear, so they were passing on me, and had other people to interview. So I HAD a job at 11:30 am, and by 12 I had lost that one, AND was "pre-hired"? and then not hired by UTLX. So by 1:00 pm I was unemployed with no UI benefits available since my job considered me as quitting to go to UTLX, and now I have no prospects for work."

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"I worked at Union Tank Car full-time Cons: Production and numbers are #1. They lie and cheat customers to get ahead. They treat employees super unfairly then wonder why they can't retain a decent group."

Current Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"I have been working at Union Tank Car full-time Cons: Old school, systems not automated, 10 plus hour daily plus sat. this was a salary role"

Welder says

"I worked at Union Tank Car Cons: Horrible, unsafe work environment, HR is terrible, and controls the entire facility, massive layoffs every few years. Shut downs force you to use your vacation time, a point system which forced employees to come to work during the flooding in Houston."

"I worked at Union Tank Car Cons: ET supervisor is rude and arrogant, goes out of his way to make the people under him uncomfortable as well as sabotage their efforts."

Welder says

"I worked at Union Tank Car Cons: Unsafe work, high ups don't care about your safety or health"

Dispatcher 2 (Current Employee) says

"Giving it your all and not being appreciated. Giving feedback on how work is done and nothing being taken into consideration. Unorganized no structure, and no room for growth. They don't want to pay employees what they deserve. Getting patients to appt on short notice and going the extra mile and not being appreciated."

Vice President of Business Development (Current Employee) says

"This company is something else, they tend to use staff, they do not care for you as a person, you are just a body, there are no true benfits, health insurance is the worst, get medical (its an improvement), no 401k, no company savings plan, no incentives of any kind, no pat on the back for going the extra mile to service patients. If you are reading this stay away from this company, it is not worth your time Cons: management, benefits, communication"

Customer Service (Current Employee) says

"It's like working in high school. Immature management and employees. High goals and expectations for growing company that make promises they can't keep. Sad."

Driver (Former Employee) says

"I was so excited about working for this company, the pay was good plus full time. Started working training for four days with a very nice lady I felt like I was getting the hang of things. Worked a shift with my supervisor and it was downhill from there. She was so rude even a member I was dropping off made a comment about the way she was talking to me. She doesn’t know how to give constructive criticism let alone have a decent conversation without sounding rude! It was an awful experience . I normally wouldn’t take the time out of my day to write a review but her services were uncalled for and unhelpful. I hope in the future they can get that situation handled"

Manager (Former Employee) says

"The more I learn about NEMT transportation business the more you realize its just no different then working the Wendy's drive through window, except more stressful. Cons: Everything else."

Two (Former Employee) says

"Managers have no management training. They were promoted because the VP is quite cleaver. Why hired qualified manages supervisors from the outside which would mean paying a salary that a supervisor or manage make in the outside world he promoted entry level employees somhe and I am sure he gave them a couple of dollars to make them feel as though they are making a computable salary. These managed, supervisor treat employees like animals with a whip on hand threatening them , intimidating them and subhumans treatments. This includes the HR manage whom Cons: This place is unfriendly and hostal"

Office Team in Pasadena,CA (Former Employee) says

"This job is a big joke the management and sups don't know what they are doing all the people they are hiring are rude and a big joke they tell you one thing and do other"

Customer Service Rep (Former Employee) says

"This is the worst place to work at. No benefits provided, no acknowledgement for the hard work that you do, very under paid for the job you do. Bilingual people get payed the same as non speaking Spanish people therefore they give you more load to take to minimize cost on translation. The phone systems are always failing, and management does nothing about it but pressure the CSR to do better once they're back on. Management is a joke no sense of responsibility. A lot of favoritism within the company. I would stay away it is not worth it"

Current employee (Former Employee) says

"They pay minimum wage and act like they're doing you a favor. You 2 10-minute breaks, a 30 minute lunch and management is a joke. In the last 3 weeks 5 people have quit and of those 5 people 4 of them left before the two weeks was up. One of the managers lives in New Jersey and just visits. This place is a sinking ship! Seriously avoid it at all costs costs it is awful!"

Dispatcher (Current Employee) says

"This place is a joke, Management is run by very insecure people that have more issues than the patients they transport. This job is very stressful due to being understaffed and undertrained employees. The company itself is very unorganized and poorly run. The owner does not care about her employees whatsoever. This company is doomed, so stay as far away as possible."

Dispatcher (Current Employee) says

"Not worth the stress , they get rid of people who actually care about their employees and it’s such a toxic environment. Lots of miscommunication and poor management. Hate it. Hate all of upper management, they don’t care about their employees. Money hungry , corrupt, selfish , group of individuals who run that place."

Customer Service Representative (Current Employee) says

"This is a terrible company to work for unless you are licked or a brown noser this is the only way you will move up in the company. The owner of the company is rude will walk right by you and will not even acknowledge you. With all the gossip and mood swings this is the job for you like being back in High School."

Customer Service Representative (Current Employee) says

"If I could rate 0 stars, I absolutely would. This is the most stressful transportation job I've had. This company moves faster than their own business. They continuously look for more business while being under-staffed and most here are under-trained and have NO idea what they are doing. You have the key players and then the lousy people. Favoritism definitely exists here. You are not seen for hard-work but instead what manager likes you. They talk down to people and expect you to make miracles with little to no resources. Either you do over-time and get scolded or you leave your work undone and get scolded. They offer little recognition to their overworked employees who get paid little to nothing. It's almost impossible to get a raise or will take FOREVER. Not only does management treat people bad but your forced to listen to angry customers and be talked to any kind of way. If they knew what was best, they'd restructure this whole company beginning with management. This place is ridiculously sad. Cons: Little pay, constant overtime, drama in the workplace"

"This place is the worst! You’re constantly under scrutiny and manager plays favorites. It’s becoming a very hostile environment and you will never be appreciated. There is no room for growth either, you’ll be lucky if you get hours that you wanted. The manager lacks communication, professionalism and is very argumentative over the smallest things. Cons: Everything else"

Customer Service Representative/Call Center (Former Employee) says

"I dont know where to start. I dont know if I should talk about the lack of care the upper management has for its employees or the extreme stress and pressure you feel on a daily basis. Ive worked at this facility for more than a year and when I first started, my very first call was someone extremely rude and there was no sympathy to me just starting. If I can rephrase what the company actually tells you, it would sound more like "Get over it and get back to work." Ive been blamed multiple times for things that I have no recollection of and Im just expected to get over it. Cons: Everything else"

Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) says

"Staff is overworked. Managers don’t know how to do their jobs. Owners have lost control of their own company. Very bad work environment. This company is in a downward spiral and won’t last very long."

Case Management Specialist Lead (Former Employee) says

"Most coworkers are friendly, the overall environment is poor because the employees are basically expected not to build friendships with each other. The morale is extremely low. The owners continue to make unnecessary changes which eventually backfires majority of the time, they should let the people they hired to manage the company do their jobs because they helped build the company into what it is today. 10 minute breaks, 30 minute lunches, filthy restrooms, forced to share desks, tiny break room and not enough employees to handle all the work that gets thrown at us without it becoming stressful."

Driver (Former Employee) says

"Good pay only loved the job poor management and unorganized being trained to do things by the book but the manager doesn't have to unfair treatment ran by seniority not a fan of it hard work is how it should be ran overall not a good company to work for if you want to be happy and respected"

Call Center Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) says

"Very stressful and unorganized. The calls are all from people who are super upset. Working nights leads to you doing like 3 jobs because of the way night crew operates. The blind leading the blind."

Driver (Former Employee) says

"As Company they could do better, but there's a lack of respect for drivers, whom are the main part in this job. Dispatchers don't know what they are doing.. so easy for them to put times here and there not taking in consideration How stressful they make it for drivers. Driver's opinions and/or suggestions are NOT important for ANYBODY in the management. Don't pay as they should. at least 45% of my paycheck goes to taxes and medical insurance. Cons: Management, pay, benefits, supervisors, dispatchers."
