Boston Scientific Corporation, doing business as Boston Scientific, is a manufacturer of medical devices used in interventional medical specialties, including interventional radiology, interventional cardiology, peripheral interventions, neuromodulation, neurovascular intervention, electrophysiology, cardiac surgery, vascular surgery, endoscopy, oncology, urology and gynecology.

A former employee of Boston Scientific said in a review "Boston Scientific is an awful place to work. Money was meek and the workload of general individuals depends on whether you are connected to lead ops and managers. Social exclusion and a disregard for regulatory obligation via the policy of cutting corners throughout their front end assembly operations in the name of efficiency and a further blacklisting of employees who attempted to question this policy was prevalent throughout Boston during my time there."

Tell the world why Boston Scientific sucks!

I certify that this review is based on my own experiece and is my opinion of this person or business. I have not been offered any incentive or payment to write this review.

Former Employee - Manager says

"Australian management patriarchal. Bullying common through out. HR ....what HR??"

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"Bullying, favouritism, toxic managers. It is an environment where toxic individuals are rewarded and hard working team members are expected to just get on with it. Very poor work life balance."

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"There are some individuals who have a high sense of entitlement and show this negative attitude towards new employees. Management generally has no clue- they're usually specialists in product knowledge, but have very little people management skills. Expect very little (almost none), professional and personal development from management as an employee in this organization. Far far too much office politics in the ANZ office- which is ironically mostly driven by HR leadership. There is a general sense of fear and distrust within the office which is quite unfortunate. If you want to succeed, you have to suck up to a handful of managers, otherwise you are considered an outcast."

Current Employee - Sales Associate says

"Australia - Disgusting abuse of power, horrible Senior management. Incompetent and self obsessed. My way or the highway approach. Controlling, flat structure promotions based on "corporate sucking and gender" rather than actual ability."

Current Employee - Field Clinical Specialist says

"Poor management, no space to grow, always squeeze you for the salary. HR support is the worst"

Former Employee - Account Manager says

"No idea how to successfully integrate a company they have acquired and are too arrogant to really listen"

Former Employee - Engineer says

"Cut-throat, performance demanding culture, very political not very good retention and not hard to understand why when you've been there a year or two."

Former Employee - Clinical Specialist says

"Work life balance is horrible, unrealistic goal. Top down management is horrible"

Former Employee - Sales says

"No work life balance No focus on employees Extreme lay offs and terminations even at senior management level Late promotions and peanuts given in appraisals Undeserving people at top management Work politics, culture of buttering boss"

Current Employee - Manager says

"No collaboration or team work, one for all"

Material Handler (Former Employee) says

"All areas are pitted against each other and makes for a toxic work atmosphere. Management does not care about employee's, they forced their hand to make all experienced employees quit/retire to hire cheaper labor leading to a high turn over rate and more workload for current employee's. Fast paced and work load is immense which in turns leads to terrible quality of life. OT for on call isn't added on the same check so you won't get desired pay. Definitely not worth the headaches since they don't have any incentive. Coworkers on the Dock quit simultaneously and so have a couple of my coworkers. Decent PayManagement and Bias"

Operario 2 (Former Employee) says

"Pesimo.. No motivan Pedimos supervisores Bajo salario"

Material Handler Dock Specialist (Former Employee) says

"don't work there not a great place at all. Managers are back stabbers and employees lie all the time on you, especially if you are likeable. na na na na na na ananananananananananananananananananananananananannananananananananananananananan"

Production lead (Current Employee) says

"This company is awful. They try to find ways to get rid of you if they don’t like you. The main lady in HR is the worst she try’s to act like she is your friend but don’t trust . Awful Place.hernonemanagement"

Orderpicker/issue solver (Former Employee) says

Mijn slechte werkplek ooit."

Material Handler (Former Employee) says

"This company is a joke, it talks a good game however The management is awe full . And if you have a problem and go to HR the managers will know before you go back downstairs . I would recommend Burger King before Boston Scientific . Stay away from joke of a company. And if you don’t you take your safety in your own hands."

Assembly (Former Employee) says

"This place is a revolving door, don't waste your time. I was treated better on black Friday working retail then I was here. I moved on to save my sanity!"

Assembler (Former Employee) says

"Do not applied to work at Boston Scientific. They BS- fault advertisement. Applied for full time. Two weeks out they offer me contract position. Sued."

Production Worker (Former Employee) says

"The job actually wasn’t hard. But I hate factory work and did not enjoy it at all. I only applied to work here cuz I was new in the area and my family that have worked there told me that they were always hiring and most people got the jobLikely to be hiredFactory"

Production Worker (Former Employee) says

"If you need money and love working 24/7 to be in the same position 15 years down, then this is the right place for you. Enjoy that max of 25 cents a year raise. Within that year they can count anything towards your review. Think you can advance yourself here? Think again, work hard to stay on the floor. If you are valuable on the floor, they will keep you there to make numbers. I suggest doing good enough to get a possible promotion and learning how to talk to your bosses. If you're too good at your job. Chances are you'll be there forever. At the end of the day, no rewards for working hard. Just more work. You dont get to come home for the weekendWork hard to do other peoples jobs."

Microbiologist I (Former Employee) says

"A typical day involves getting results as soon as possible of the local and external sites. The work was overwhelming for a small group of people to handle.Having a deskworkload"

Inventory Associate/Shipping and Receiving Clerk (Former Employee) says

"Very bad and unfriendly environment. The management and the Human Resources are horrible and hard to deal with. The hardest part of the job was dealing with a very unfriendly supervisor who never appreciate anything you do and love to say nasty words and bring down bagelworking with ill mannerd lady supervisor"

Customer Service Rep III (Former Employee) says

"I worked at this company for over a year, helped make them thousands of dollars and put in countless hours away from my family. The level of stress and disrespect from sales reps is unbelievable. Your treated completely unfair for your hard work. I felt very used and disrespected. Management only cares about profit and your treated as a tool to them not a human being. The level of micromanagment and narcissism is sickening. I was never thanked or appreciated for the hard work I did when I left. I felt I was more told to not let the door hit me on the way out...Micromanagment, lack of communication, unprofessional, disrespectful"

Production Assembler (Former Employee) says

"You are timed by a timer overhead where every one can see. Each station has a timer, a big one, above your head, with a set goal for each hour, if you don't make that goal, you have to explain and they will let you go right on the spot in front of everyone if you don't make that number. They don't care about you, just the number of product. It is so fast paced, too many mistakes happen because they want you to go so fast. People get hurt, machines break down when going to fast. Co-workers from other stations are yelling at you to hurry up. The crew leads are intimitading, and so are the managers. The breaks are ridulucous, there is a timer for that too. You can't be late! They will fire you for that too! The short amount of time I worked there, so much turn over and people walking off the job!Nice break room, cafeteria, good food, nice facilityWay too short of breaks!"

Quality Engineer (Former Employee) says

"Awful company to work for, particularly for Quality. Sexist environment with bad benefits and salary. The fight for survival is not worth it for the sake of your mental health. HR is not helpful when dealing with tough situations and management bully you into completing projects poorly just to meet unrealistic deadlines. Full of politics.Flexi timeHorrible environment"

Business Executive (Current Employee) says

"Company has taken immediately action to close all the job position from india and windup the division, which launch just before 1 year, so all the candidate now job less."

Lead/Appeal Specialist/Trainer/Quality (Current Employee) says

"Common knowledge about one's position is not permitted to be shared. horrible environment. Mandatory overtime or be fired. Temp's are treated like second glass citizens.CoworkersManagement"

Production Worker (Current Employee) says

"Management suck. They favor certain people and blame other for their mistakes. Supervisors are stupid and cannot make decisions on their own. They blame production coordinators for not doing their job well when they fail to train them properly. Nothing is being done and the lean specialist is lazy. A lot of people are leaving because management does not care about their builders. They don't reward builders for their hard work and they don't take the time to build relationships at all. Overall do not work at machining and metals. They say they'll get back to us but at the end we have to wait and remind them again. Very poor!!at least i have a job and incomemanagements, supervisors, mean engineers, lazy lean specialist"

Machine Operator 1 (Former Employee) says

"Modern day slavery there, lots of over time, no time for family, always mandatory overtime on Saturday sometimes sunday. Everything is fast pace and stressfulNoneShort breaks"

Sales/Marketing/ Commercial Solutions (Current Employee) says

"All managers and Employees in IT work EVERY WEEKEND an average of ~4 hrs/Week Management has ZERO interest in your career progression HEAVY Politics due to HOW they attrition people YOUR OTHER company skills are IRRELEVANT GREAT PLACE FOR Millenials to RAPIDLY grow their career and THEN realize they dont have the technical/real-life depth to handle projects - Unless the Millenial is a genius.Good skillsSweatshop"

Linda Benson says

"I ordered 2 gallons of isopropyl alcohol so I could make hand sanitizer for my family and close friends. I received 8 gallons, was charged a ridiculous price and it took 2 months plus to get here !! I doubt I will order from them again. On a some what positive note, the tracking information was simply average, but barely."

Bradley Kallmeyer says

"I was told the item would ship 10 business days after order. No communication was made. I had to call over and over trying to get an update. It finally shipped after 7 weeks. After arrival, several of the items were wrong and had to be modified on site."

Edgar E Franco says

"Unfortunately the response was very bad, very late delivery of the order, I was not informed that they had no stock at the time of making the purchase order, I incurred fines with my client for late delivery. I will think about it for next purchases."

Jun Ho Son says

"Part was broken in a box. I need to contact a customer service soon."
