Xp 2 Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback
XP is a chromogenic black-and-white film from Ilford Photo. It was launched to great acclaim at photokina in September 1980, and went on sale in January, 1981. It has since progressed through a number of versions, with XP2 Super being the latest. The main competitor of Ilford XP2 Super was Kodak BW400CN, which was discontinued in 2014.
A photographer mentioned, "I use XP2 occasionally. On the negative side, you can't control the results the way you can with a traditional black and white film, it scratches easily, and it is supposedly non-archival. If you really want good results, you should print it properly on black and white paper (or scan it and do an inkjet print) rather than getting the rather sickly color you will get with machine prints. Why someone would spend thousands of dollars on a camera and then regularly get machine prints is something I don't understand anyway."
