Windstream Holdings Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback

From Everything.Sucks

Windstream Holdings, Inc., also doing business as Windstream Communications or Windstream, is a provider of voice and data network communications (broadband, VoIP, MPLS), and managed services (virtual servers, managed firewall, data storage, cloud-based voice, etc.), to businesses in the United States. The company also offers residential broadband, phone and digital TV services to consumers within its coverage area. It is the ninth largest residential telephone provider in the country with service covering more than 8.1 million people in 21 states. Headquartered in Little Rock, Arkansas, Windstream has more than $6 billion in annual revenues.

A upset former employee said this in a review about the work environment "Windstream Holdings is extremely stressful. Management is quick to point out faults, but not recognize positives. Little to no structured training Culture is non existent. The only enjoyable part is talking with customers. The hardest part is being limited to really being able to help a customer in the manner in which they should be. I have learned little. There is no sense of appreciation. Suggested training never received."

Network Analyst (Former Employee) says

"I was brought on as a contractor, which in hindsight was an issue. At the time I was just finishing up college and it was my first "real" job. I was incredibly excited to be working in such a fascinating field. I think Windstream is a great company to be with, but if you're looking to work there, make sure you get hired on as a full time employee with benefits rather than as a contractor. Cons: Location"

"We subscribed to Windstream phone and internet service. The only package supposedly available for our area is 3 MBS download speed, which while not great, is better than nothing as there is no cellular service either.
We have long periods where, by their own speed test meter, we only get 0.5 MBS speed.
We contacted Windstream and they said the only option for more speed was a second line. We agreed and the technician showed up to install. Upon reviewing the lines he said it is a general bandwidth problem in our area and the line would need a different fix to increase speed. He did not install the second line as he said there was no point.
It has now been 2 months and they still can't fix it.
We are exploring getting satellite internet as we have had family members switch and are pleased. There are no other options in our rural area.
I highly recommend utilizing a different company if possible. Both service and customer service are poor."
