The Wausau Daily Herald is a daily morning broadsheet printed in Wausau, Wisconsin. It is the primary newspaper in Wausau and is distributed throughout Marathon and Lincoln counties. The Daily Herald is owned by the Gannett Company, which owns ten other newspapers in Wisconsin. The newspaper also runs a website where people can pay to read the news.
An independent contractor shared his outrage, "The Wausau Daily Herald didn't really care about their employees. They would constantly and If someone complained about the newspaper they'd take it out of your pay!!"

Newspaper Carrier (Former Employee) says"I work for the Herald as a carrier for 2+ years. Never a day off, never late. My wife and I even picked up extra routes when they needed help. Then came a day where I noticed a growing lump in my stomach which turned out to be a life threatening infection. I was immediately hospitalized and unable to do my route as I ended up being in the hospital 4 days while they tried to control it. The daily herald's response was.. so your dropping the route? Then proceeded to tell me I would be charged for the undelivered papers. Yeah, thanks but no thanks!"
