Walter Elias Disney was an American entrepreneur, animator, writer, voice actor and film producer. A pioneer of the American animation industry, he introduced several developments in the production of cartoons. As a film producer, Disney holds the record for most Academy Awards earned by an individual, having won 22 Oscars from 59 nominations. He was presented with two Golden Globe Special Achievement Awards and an Emmy Award, among other honors. Several of his films are included in the National Film Registry by the Library of Congress.

According to a media article, Walt Disney refused to hire women. Apparently replied to an aspiring female animator in a letter saying he wouldn’t hire her because he didn’t believe women should do that sort of job. With this information, also consider that in 1938 there were a lot of jobs men thought women weren’t suited for. But he could have hired her anyway.

"I’m afraid that today the magic has clearly run out at Walt Disney world! Me and my family booked a holiday over a year ago now and we have been saving for years to go on this holiday unfortunately due to the current situation with COVID - 19 we have had to make the decision to cancelled our holiday of no fault of our own. I am deemed as a vulnerable person due to the fact that I had a bone marrow transplant when I was younger and because of the rate in which COVID - 19 spreads and how dangerous it can be and the amount of people that enter Walt Disney world even with a limited capacity the risk it a too high for me to go. This is not the only reason we are cancelling the holiday, we are also cancelling because of the facts that park entry is no guaranteed, our Disney dining plan has been cancelled, you can’t guarantee your favourite restaurants will be open and there will be no parades, no firework displays and no character meet and greets. I am an avid Disney fan and this would have been my 5th Disney world trip and it takes me and my family years to save to go we go because of the magic you feel when we are there but unfortunately today the magic has clearly run out as when I tried to cancel they still wanted to charge me my deposit. I feel that I’m being disregarded and they are just taking my money because they can no one could have foreseen the circumstances of COVID - 19 and I understand that Disney is going to be taking a financial loss... but so are the little people like me... what about ohana... “nobody gets left behind or forgotten” well obviously in Disney this doesn’t always apply when it comes to money... one very heartbroken, disappointed Disney fan"

"IM not feeling the Disney Magic Today. We have a 21 day ultimate ticket with Disney i can only book Fastpass+ for 14 days in row !!!! No where was this made clear to me before purchasing my tickets. No body at Disney was helpful at all in fact they was quit rude to me on the phone. i don't get why it is that i can not book Fastpass+ for the whole time that my tickets are valid. The only good thing about today has been the very helpful staff at Attraction Tickets.com they have tried very had to help me with this matter and Evan apologised on Disneys behalf.Im just feeling let down by Disney.........."

"This review is for the Disney Park, Experience and Product division. I would like to write about my disappointing pre-D23 experience. The D23 Expo starts on Aug 23, 2019 and it had not been a smooth sailing for me so far. The D23 team does not provide the same level of responsiveness as other Disney event. As a matter of that, they are not personal and repeat the same verbiage every time. They are extremely rigid. I am a Gold Family Member and it does not really mean anything except you can get more tickets; which means you are allowed to spend more money. The D23 site publishes the schedule of events held at the 4 main stages during the Expo. it does not tell you any other "in-between" events unless you go to its app. There is no consistency where the information is being posted. It caused a lot of confusion when they asked you to do online reservation of the event. Each day, a person is entitled 2 StagePass, 1 StorePass (you need a pass to buy the goods), and 3 talentPass (for photoOps & signing). But the D23 badges were mailed so close to the online reservation date that it literally caused me anxiety. When the date of the online reservation came (8/16/2019 3pm EST), there were issues that they had to postpone to 4pm. And then eventually moved to the next day at 3pm EST Then I clicked on the register button at 3pm EST sharp the next day; and I was in the virtual queue for over 90min. By the time I entered the site, NOTHING was available. I thought the reservation is for the passes, but it seems like you can select EVERYTHING, even the free give away. When I saw a couple available slots at one of the 4 stages, I selected it but an error box popped up telling me that it is not available. It was such a tease. There is no instruction on what is next!! Why would the system let me in the site if there is NOTHING left to choose? Very frustrating indeed. In addition, what does it mean really when all the "StorePass" slots for all locations and all days are taken? Do I even have a chance purchase ANYTHING? D23 still allows "overnight queuing". Even SDCC ditched this "overnight queue" idea last year. Do they really expect family with children to queue overnight? I am a very loyal Disney supporter. I visit WDW every year and other Disney parks outside US frequently. I always feel that I need to help Disney get better in order to make my involvement worth the value. But so far, my D23 experience was so awful that I completely lost my enthusiasm for it. I don't think I will renew my D23 membership next year."
