Vizio Inc, stylized as VIZIO, is a privately held, American company that designs and sells televisions and sound bars. Vizio sells its products through physical retailers and online. The company was founded in 2002 and is based in Irvine, California, United States.

A former employee said this in a review "Short answer. Do not work here. Had a very bad experience with poor management as have many other employees. VIZIO's ODMs and employees all work hard to avoid liability for failures rather than produce compelling and high quality products. Awful Experience".

"This is specifically abt the SF office. Very old school legacy TV technology. Processes and languages ppl speak here are from the stone age. Lots of tired bitter ppl left here who are just clinging on unfortunately. Low salaries."

"-Salaries are VERY LOW for the work/hours you put in (take the standard salary for your position and -25%, yes MINUS 25%! That's what you'll get paid. -Terrible career development - you'll only get promoted when your boss leaves or retires (so you'll be waiting for years and years) -Long hours are a constant, you'll work 12 hours a day all year round -People who work there have no knowledge/experience outside of the Media, TV consumer electronics, cable, and marketing industries and they don't care about implementing best practices from other successful companies and industries -Nearly everyone there is pretentious and arrogant (about 70% of the company)"

"It’s been painful to witness VIZIO’s decline over the past few years. VIZIO’s customers felt betrayed as multiple shortcuts, violations and misrepresentations were publicly exposed through various class action lawsuits and a settlement with the Federal Trade Commission. After VIZIO’s multiple attempts to leverage their TV brand into new products/services failed, VIZIO attempted to take the company public, but investors showed a lack of interest. A Chinese company LeEco made an acquisition offer but that was withdrawn. Now, they are pinning their hopes on Inscape, considered by many a trojan horse that monitors and sells what consumers are watching. VIZIO finally recognized that some of the senior executives were acting in their own best interests, and they are no longer with the company. The future of VIZIO is highly uncertain and it wouldn’t surprise me if they filed for bankruptcy protection or are forced to sell out of desperation in the next year or so."

"The Senior Leadership at VIZIO is so out of touch with their employees, and it makes for a very toxic work environment. They lead with fear and aggression, and don't bother to listen to the input or recommendations of the people they've hired to do the jobs. They've let go of so many good employees because those employees had a strong opinions and positions that didn't match that of Sr. Leadership, and despite their words that say they value people's positions on things, that's just talk, and they in fact see that as being "difficult". VIZIO has a culture of back-stabbing, being on the "right or wrong" team, and berating their employees to feel that their voices don't matter. I've worked in a number of large companies, and I can say that I've never had to deal with this type of toxic work environment in the past."

"Overall, I enjoyed my time at Vizio. Everyone was very friendly and helpful if you had a question. The managers I had were all very helpful and really tried to help you if you had an issue. A lot of turnover the last six months which left us understaffed. Benefits were OK, nothing special. The pay was very low. Even if you get a promotion from Level 2 Technical support, which is where everyone starts, to Level 3 or 4, you only get a .25 raise. Limited opportunities to advance. Vizio will say they have never had known issues with any devices, but they have had some known issues that don't get addressed fast enough, so you have a lot of customers calling in with the same issue and that leads to frustration with the employees and the customers. Training was very good.Great people, very helpful and friendlyVery low pay, limited advancement opportunities, average benefits."

"A day , in the life, of a VIzio employee, is very hectic. Most people are dealing with multiple TV skus with reset deadlines which, if missed, could completed collapse the companies financials. This for sure lead to high stress but at the same time work days seem to wiz by. the employees are very talented and communicate well. the contract manufactures had on-site support so problems were able to be resolved or at least added to JIRA in real-time and easily worded in Mandarin so that China/Taiwan could start to corrective action process.employeessalary"

"i bought a smart tv and just after a few months my youtube stopped working and all the company could tell me is they are sorry for the inconvenience. they expect me to dump it and walk into the store and buy another one. would recommend people really check before buying any of their products i am not buying anything vizio again for sure"
