Vaseline s an American brand of petroleum jelly-based products owned by British-Dutch company Unilever. Products include plain petroleum jelly and a selection of skin creams, soaps, lotions, cleansers, and deodorants. In many languages, the word "Vaseline" is used as a generic for petroleum jelly; in Portugal, the Unilever products are called Vaselina, and in Brazil and some Spanish-speaking countries, the Unilever products are called Vasenol.
Hailey N. From Airdrie wrote in a review for INFLUENSTER why she doesn’t recommend Vaseline Gelée: Although I use this product on a daily basis due to my dry lips, I don’t recommend this product. It dries quickly and petroleum jelly has been linked to cancer. My grandfather has been diagnosed with skin cancer on his nose and lips after using Vaseline for 60+ years. They may not be linked but it is something to look into before purchasing. I use it because it is affordable.
