VPI Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback

From Everything.Sucks

Nationwide is one of the largest insurance and financial services companies in the world, focusing on domestic property and casualty insurance, life insurance and retirement savings, asset management, and strategic investments.

The Nationwide family includes: Veterinary Pet Insurance Company.

Until recently, you may have known us as Veterinary Pet Insurance. However, in 2014 the entire Nationwide Insurance family of companies—including VPI—made the historic move to join together as one company, one culture and one brand: Nationwide.

Eva shared her experience, "I first started with Nationwide when I had my first dog. They were pricey then but I figured it is worth it for my dog. They reimbursed as they said they would for the most part with some sporadic random declines. When she died, we got another family pet from the shelter. She is a mixed breed medium sized dog. We were always prompt with payment/never ever missing one in all of this time. During the pandemic in Feb/March my card was cancelled because it was being used by someone other than me. There was no notification sent to me that my policy was going to be cancelled or that I had missed a payment (no email or phone call). Terrible service."

Youth Counselor (Former Employee) says

"My experience working for VPI, Inc. was not good. They do not pay a livable wage or provide benefits to all full time employees. It's the worst job I've ever had and I do not recommend working for them. Cons: Very little communication, low wages, not much room for advancement, poor upper management, dangerous, toxic, hostile and stressful work environment."

"10 hours a day for 5 days which is nice sometimes Saturdays rate of pay at start is 11 per hour. Its nice until they cut your hrs, which is garbage considering you get use to pay with overtime, for someone who exceeds expectations not worth it. Production Supervisor walks in on you going to restroom to tell you you should be working. Only promotes white males that kiss up... workers horseplay a lot and only get into trouble when production supervisor is in a bad mood. Use to be a great place then the supervisor who actually cares about the employees moved to engineering... they say they are about quality but cut corners and say as long as the customer cant see it we can say its good... Cons: Everything else"

"Direction qui préfère diviser pour mieux régner qui vous augmente les charges de travail pour réduire les primes de production vpi et une mauvaise image pour le groupe vicat tout du moins à Auneau bon courage pour les suivants la direction n'a aucune reconnaissance vis à vis de ses employés"

Production Worker (Current Employee) says

"Poorly run company at the top. The President is clueless, but they have good supervisors. 1st shifters get get a disgusting amount of special treatment. Union contract is also routinely ignored. If you don’t care what shift you’re on or anything other than just getting a pay check then this might be the place. Zero chance at a first shift position without 2 plus years in. Machines are all old, outdated and falling apart. Consistent poor decision making keeps this company from being a great place to work. Cons: 401k/benefits/Insurance, upper management, outdated equipment"

"I really enjoyed working with the regular staff, Management on the other hand is just that, Management. They advise you that you the freedom to do your work and get things done, but then they turn around and micromanage you. Training is non existent, and if you do get some training from the head office team, they turn around and update it or change the process and do not notify you. Cons: Management"

"I actually thought it wasn't a bad place to work, what I didn't like about it is there was no competitive wages besides if you was a "lead". Everyone made the same wage no matter what job you was doing, didn't matter if you was carrying glass or drilling holes. Cons: Worked too many hours."

"Started as a great place to work with good friendly people but over time the management was tightening the grip and could have unreasonable demands. Multiple people were let go in a short amount of time and learned that staff turnover can be high. Good people, but upper management can have unreasonable demands that pushes people out."

line work (Former Employee) says

"A good places to work at If your are just starting off as a first job or just want to get your feet wet as far as starting a job or what not. A typical work day at this places is just about assembling but things in order on the work line and working with other people at work. I learn that the job is important and it is fun at the same time. Management is ok and the people in charge are good to. The work place culture is also good to, as far as working with different type of people sure is fun. The hardest part of the job is maybe standing in one spot for eight hours a day. The most enjoyable part of the day would be that you don't have to work weekends lol."
