says"The sales reps are simply the stupidest people I have ever dealt with. Combative, rude, and not particularly intelligent. They don’t understand how US Foods systems work, can’t do their jobs correctly, then blame everyone else for their own incompetence. Is this really who we have out in contact with our customers??? Train the sales force, again, again and agin."
Former Employee - Customer Operations Coordinator says"You will be underappreciated and treated like your feedback is worthless if you are an hourly associate. Upper management and Project Managers repeatedly make bad decisions at the expense of the doers, never taking the doers feedback into account, since they see them as mindless worker fools. Though one of the company's values is to speak up and management is supposedly encouraged to respect employee feedback, that's not what actually happens on the floor. There is a terrible lack of respect from supervisors and up towards anyone that is not a "yes man". The brightest and best workers are overlooked for promotions if they tend to speak up to discuss alternatives to management's decisions, while their underproducing peers are promoted. Promotions outside the department rarely happen due to favoritism company-wide, unless you can move out of state. If you are comfortable being completely stagnant in your career while making below market pay- go for this job. Otherwise, run fast and far in another direction!"
Former Employee - Territory Manager says"The stress of this job is unbelievable. Upper management only cares about themselves. You have to work on Sunday and if you do something right it goes unnoticed. If you do one thing wrong they threaten you even if it wasn’t your fault. Please do yourself a favor and don’t work for U.S Foods. You will remember this post thinking that I should have listened to the person who has worked there for 6 years."

Have you clock out and work during your lunch EDD forms you’ll see! A lot of the employees there 10 plus years friends with yard manager he’s not going anywhere I turned him in they turned on me. Can’t snitch on your manager but he can on you Pay is terrible for what you do. Unknown (Former Employee) says"They don't care about anyone and if they tell you they do they're lying. They laid off 80% of their staff and replaced them with high school grads that they can pay a fraction of the income. I watched people who gave them 25 years of their life be escorted out of the building as they were laid off. Management will not hold anything confidential they're all a bunch of rats New Pres doesn't care about ANYTHING other than making himself more more. Previous President knew the name of every single person in the building. He would address you by your first name and say hello every day no matter if he was alone, with peers or customers. He was fantastic. There were opportunities for advancement etc now they laid everyone off and realize it was a mistake and have 35 openings in ONE location - what does that tell you?"
Transportation Manager (Former Employee) says"poor culture in a union environment that you have no chance to make an impact. poor work life balance as I was required to work 7 days a week and about 14 hours a day"
Recieving Associate (Former Employee) says"Horrible management. Didnt care about employees. I would NEVER work for them! Run while you can!!! Horrible work ethic, management is a joke, the employees have their little groups. If you dont speak Spanish, dont bother applying."
Delivery Driver (Former Employee) says"I wouldn’t refer this company to my worst enemy! They are (upper management) stealing money and finding ways around not paying drivers what they earn. They have a high turnover rate with customer’sNot there anymore! I quite!!!Clocking in"
Selector/Picker (Former Employee) says"Management looks to get all top rate guys fired. In order to acquire cheaper labor. Very strict working conditions. Will be written up even if you are 1 minute late"
Delivery Driver (Former Employee) says"Very dirty unsanitary work place has a delivery driver the trucks are nasty and the trailers they never wash inside the trailers. The refrigerator unit leak like its pouring rain.(they have these blue cooler covers the put over your pallets that are moldy the plastic shutters by the back roll up door are moldy dirty. Management is a joke the only job I ever had that allowed someone (good ole boy) to have 3 job changes in one year trans manager (could not handle the job) to trans clerk to a shuttle driver. They will hire anyone with a heartbeat or cdl The equipment less then a year old looks like sh-!t. You will have pallets of product that do not even belong on your trailer. Stop ones pallet will be behind stop -3-5 and -5-10. Supervisors lazy ex military guys that cant even do the job there self, that just act like they know what or how to do the job. (more talking and no action.) They sell cheap sh-!t to customer with bad credit so you will have to wait to get a check or cash or call in to the credit department which holds you up ( which is a joke ).Hurry up and wait!"
Daisy says"This place is not very good. Turns out they give customers a rating between A to F, based off how much you order and how often you order. If you’re a E customer they will skip your delivery if the driver runs out of time. The sales rep was useless and made false promises. Tried to pick up order will call and they made us wait almost 2 hours."
