CHHA (Former Employee) says"I worked every day for 2 1/2 months straight. They don't appreciate there aids. Not a good company. They singled me out from all of the other aids. I would go above and beyond for my clients. If you call the agency to report an issue, they seem like they don't care"
Caregiver (Former Employee) says"I was hired the same day as my interview and asked to go to a client’s house straight after. This incident set the precedent for my time with the company. Everything was unorganized and the owner would harass me to work at the last minute. One day I would work 12-15 hours than I would be off for the week. It was very inconsistent. The owner was also very rude when I had to call out due to be sick."
Direct Service Worker (Former Employee) says"You never knew what you was walking into for your assignment. The report you receive was always different from what actually takes place at client's home. You are always told to do a little light house work and cook, but when you enter the client's home the client has a peg tube, turn q2 hours, bed bath, mopping, laundry etc.. The list goes on and on.The relief showed up on time.I was glad the shift was over"
CNA (Current Employee) says"You will have to fight to get a pay check... Very unorganized co."

Clinical Care Coordinator (Former Employee) says"The CEO was so self-involved that he would fire anyone who disagreed with him, During my time there I saw over 30 employees fired. With only about 5 employees, the rest were let go for personal issues with the CEO."
care provider (Former Employee) says"Started with the company as a care provider. I never had any idea what hours I'd be working, days would go by without any contact followed by an emergency call because someone didn't show up. I told them I would drive up to 10 miles from my home, and was routinely asked to go 20 or more miles each way to a clients home. Because of the low pay, it just made no sense to travel that far. No one ever seemed to know what was going on.Taking care of peoplepoor pay, spotty hours, no sense of management"
Supervisor (Former Employee) says"I was hired as a Supervisor. Although my employment was short, I expected to learn something about my job. All I did was be a caregiver! Also, when my check was short some hours, I was made to wait for my missing money on my next check. I explained that I desperately needed that money to put gas in my car to work, and was told no I still have to wait. Fortunately I had a company interested in for a management position for more money. Needless to say I took it!"
Community Sales Manager (Former Employee) says"Main concern with Preferred Care at Home was the shady way in which owners of my specific franchise operated - over promised & under delivered, unprofessional and overall liars. I had flexibility but went broke working for them and growing their business with promises of more pay that never came."
Caregiver Recruiter (Former Employee) says"If you're seeking to work with integrity and prefer your co-workers and owners to possess the same, I do not recommend PCAH. Culture is not conducive to successful teamwork. Owners lack integrity.FlexibilityPoor ethics"
Caregiver (Former Employee) says"The manager is used to taking care of food not people. So she handles situations add if these people your taking care of were food.Job TypeManagement is poor."
CNA/Caregiver (Current Employee) says"Company cares only about money and not care of clients..management does not listen to caregivers, accommodates unethical request of clients, inconvenient caregivers, lie about cases, lies to caregivers...Weekly payNeed better/honest/caring management"
Care Giver (Current Employee) says"A typical day at work includes cleaning, cooking, taking vital signs, Accu-checks (as needed), daliy weighing ( as needed), patient safety, ambulation, transportation, and special diets. I've learned a lot concerning diabetes, congestive heart failure, and kidney failure and how to manage them. For the most part, my co workers are knowledgeable, eager to learn, friendly, and easy to collaborate with. The hardest part of the job is saying good bye to patients and families I had worked with for months. With that being said, the most enjoyable part of the job is the feeling I get when I know I've made even the smallest difference in a patients life.Flexible schedule, friendly colleaguesSimilar to per diem, no benefits"
Caregiver (Current Employee) says"To get full time hours you must be willing to basically be on call 24/7. Manager is unprofessional at times, witnessed her arguing over the phone with clients. Lots of driving.Good clienteleasked to work odd hours with only a few hours notice."
