"This was one of the most toxic work environments I’ve ever been in. Until they get a new general manager it’ll continue to be that way. The general managers whole family works there and they are all supervisors and different things making it impossible to advance and if you didn’t get along with any of them your job was gone. I wish corporate could have seen or heard some of the awful things that went on there."

"I would say this job would be ok or decent for highschoolers but that’s a lie also. It’s gets so busy during the summer you can’t even move. And then clean up time after words takes hours. Didn’t ever leave until after midnight. Minimal pay and lots of work expected"

"Management was awful. They heavily discriminated against a fellow employee with special needs. Management would frequently gather all their friends, who they had hired, to leave the building to go smoke, and come back 30 minutes to an hour later with the few of us left with hour long wait times. Left there pretty fast. Cons: No benefits, terrible pay, terrible management, uncleanly, discriminatory"

"New “Manager” never makes schedules in advance always last minute. Very rude to employees, work place is dirty with rat feces and box’s laying around near exit. Very unprofessional I quit because there was no respect in the work environment and communication. Old manger was organized and clean, very respectful but stern and had boxes in storage not sitting in store where there could be a fire hazard. Dairy Queens should really review there job candidate’s better before making them managers and actually send in more people to check in on the store at puainako prince Kuhio plaza with out advance notice to see for there selves how bad in shape the new manager is. Cons: Everything"

"Manager is rude no training for managers expect you to work 60 hours week. The store is open on Christmas and Thanksgiving managing are required to work on those days. Cons: Healthcare vacation time"

"They cut my hours and made me use the back bathroom because they found out that I was bisexual. The managers were very rude and very petty. Eventually it got so bad that I ended up up quitting"

"Hello, I’m a previous employee of a Dairy Queen in Dunn, NC and would like to report that this location is dirty, broken, and illegal! I would highly recommend that someone investigate since I’m in the process of contacting the nc labor board and health department on the practices that take place here. I’m a shift manager and we are not allowed to take breaks at this location and if caught sitting in a chair we get cussed at. The manager and assistant manager do not care nor help the problems at this location our fryer has been broken for months and the ice cream machines have been broken for 3-4 months. Ceiling tiles have been falling in because the roof leaks was told it was too expensive to fix so they just replaced the tiles for the ceiling. Multiple times I have been forced the run the busy restaurant alone with no help because the manager does not fill in for call outs. I’m also underpaid according to all other fast food locations and other jobs in the same travel center. Check the reviews on google for this location and you will see this location isn’t being ran correctly and the manager is beyond lazy! Since I left the location this manager has also talked about private manners that where just between me and here in the work group chat and I have screen shots of her bad mouthing me to other employees. Cons: No breaks, awful hours, mental abuse, lazy bosse, underpaid"

"So it's drive thru only, people constantly calling off or late. No cleanliness, don't enforce hand washing. Has roaches and let's employees just eat fries ice cream as while to Making customers orders. No breaks or free lunches. Poor staff as to if there is an issue come about they will laugh n talks among rest crew of you. Cons: No breaks, dirty, roaches, don't wear gloves or mask, don't keep stuff clean"

"This company in itself wouldn’t be an issue to work for, but the management at my specific location was absolutely horrendous. Extremely unorganized, non-compliant with Covid-19 regulations and survey updates. Employees were also non compliant with the health code and violating the regulations for Covid-19 by not properly wearing a mask/facial covering over their nose AND mouth, not wearing gloves, not cleaning appliances and machines, not sufficiently cleaning the floors, walls, or surfaces. The management was extremely unhelpful with training and flexibility of work hours on the schedule. Unprofessional and unorganized are the two main words to use when describing this specific Dairy Queen location. There needs to be all new management and all new staff. The staff are more than half of the problem. Eating out of the warmer, being disrespectful to customers and other staff. The entire environment is toxic and unhealthy to not only work in, but be in. I would never recommend working at this specific location, but the job itself was super fast paced and kept me on my toes. I enjoyed it and wouldn’t have had a problem working there long term if it weren’t for the poor management and corporation."

"I hated it cause they would not let you ask for help with the milk for the icecream, you had to restock everything by yourself even if there are other employees, they dont teach you register until you are done with the training for the icecream part"

"dont bother. its all lies and half truth wrapped in a blanket of want-to-believe them. They will use you, lie to you, string you along and discard you when they are done with you. NO outside life, NO consideration to what you want out of it, NOTHING. you are a tool to be used and replaced when you are worn out. Mangers do not manage. they are crew people in a fancy shirt. The uppers have their "favorites" and that's the only people that get ANYTHING. Cons: Everything."
