Tigar Tyres (full legal name in Serbian Latinic: Preduzeće za proizvodnju guma Tigar Tyres d.o.o. Pirot) is a Serbian tire manufacturing company based in Pirot, eastern Serbia. Since 2007, it is owned by the world's second largest tyre manufacturer Michelin.

The following piece below published by TANJUG back in April 2015 reported how six employees of Tigar were injured by electric shock in the factory plant, of whom three had serious injuries:

TUESDAY, APRIL 28, 2015 | 14:07 The Pirot-based Tigar Tyres company made the announcement on Tuesday. Miodrag Panic, a maintenance worker, died on April 27 shortly after 8 p.m, the company said. Tigar Tyres expressed the deepest and sincere condolences over Panic'c death, pledging to provide all necessary assistance and support to the family of the late colleague. The workers who suffered the most severe injuries were transported to the university clinic in Bochum, Germany, where the doctors are still fighting to save the life of Dejan Mladenovic. Their colleague Dragan Sokolovic passed away on Sunday from internal lung injuries caused by high-temperature gases. Last Thursday, six workers sustained injuries in the so-called prep room of the rolling plant, the cause of the accident being an electric shock. The official investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident is underway. In the next 10 days after the accident, all three workers who were seriously injured died of injuries sustained due to the electric shoCK.

"I worked at TIGAR Gymnastics and Cheer for a year. I love coaching and working with children, so I was so excited to begin working. It was obvious weeks into working how disorganized and unhelpful the management was. My direct supervisor was always telling the staff one thing, but doing another. She missed multiple meetings and was constantly berating employees in front of other staff, parents, and children. Communication was never consistent. My paycheck was messed up on multiple occasions and I had to send many emails to until the situation was even acknowledged. The general manager’s only concern is making money. She has no concern for the staff, children, or overall health and safety of those in the gym. This became evident during the covid-19 outbreak. I was paid just cents above minimum wage. They completely take advantage of their young employees. My experience at TIGAR was disappointing. Cons: Poor management, inconsistent communication, unfair pay, disorganization"
