Teri Garr Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback
Teri Ann Garr (born December 11, 1944) is a retired American actress, dancer and singer. She frequently appeared in comedic roles throughout her career, which spans four decades and includes over 140 credits in film and television. Her accolades include one Academy Award nomination, a BAFTA Award nomination, and one National Board of Review Award.
In a review of her memoir one reader writes, "I enjoyed Teri Garr in many movies, however her stint as a writer is evident that she is just another Hollywood activist who has to get her political 2-cents worth into her book. I didn't care for that. My main purpose in reading this book was to learn about her experiences with MS (which she has been diagnosed) and detailed stories of her working with her various co-stars (there was very little of that).
Although the humorous content was sometimes dry, the author depicts a lifestyle of a very hard-working actress struggling with the onset and symptoms of MS. I applaud Ms. Garr for that. However, the description of her non-chalant, aloof lifestyle and her snide political opinions really turned me off. This is where I lost interest in reading the book any further.
I'm glad I got it at the library and didn't waste the money. If you're a biography nut like I am you may want to pass on this one."
