TGI Fridays (formerly stylized as T.G.I. Friday's and operating in the U.K. as FRIDAYS) is an American restaurant chain focusing on casual dining. The company is owned by TriArtisan Capital, a New York-based private equity firm, that purchased the company from Sentinel Partners in October 2019.[3] The name is asserted to stand for "Thank God It's Friday", although as of 2010 some television commercials for the chain have also made use of the alternative phrase, "Thank Goodness It's Friday.

Lee wrote a review on ConsumerAffair.com that he had the worst experience ever at TGI Friday's restaurant "We will never eat there again! If I could give zero stars I would. When I first walked in I was waiting to be seated but there was no one to seat me so I had to walk to the bar and ask for someone to seat me! The bartender acted cluelessly" while Lauren said "The whole time I felt like I was being rushed to make up my mind when ordering. The waiter was rude when taking our order and replied that he was busy eating and didn’t notice his section was seated". Anelie Bleine also complained saying "Terrible service and experience, burgers bone dry and cold, waited over half an hour for drinks that came when we almost done eating. Will never go to TGIF again"

"The management suck! Managers lack communication, organization and interpersonal skills! It's all management! They take out their frustrations out on workers when their horrible management causes the resturant not to perform well. You get abuse from all sides! Customers, co- workers and management! Everyone is taking out their emotions on you! They work you crazy long hours and pay you way below mininuim wage because you get tips. Tips aren't as great because the poor management causes most customers not want to tip. The company is too cheap to do anything proprely. Also, the place is disgusting."

"You're never doing enough according to corporate. A meeting will be at 8-9am when the restaurant closes at 3am the previous night. Customers complain about everything because TGI recipes suck. On an evening shift, you'll get off no earlier than 1am on a quiet night."

"This company has no idea what it's doing from one day to the next. Every day brings a new email chain explaining a completely new and oftentimes conflicting set of expectations from the previous day. They reward corporate jargon and passing the buck over hard work and integrity 100% of the time."

"Really good place to work to start as a server or host. But not to stay long. I had a ok experience with south gate fridays. Managment is horrible but some of them were good. Alot of favoritism. Company could care less about their employees. They only care if the restaurant is making enough to stay up in business. Alot of work for little money. Managment doesnt have your back even when a customer is being unreasonable. Cons: Everything"

"Fridays specialise in giving you as little hours as possible at minimum wage. They have always told us we are part of the family but do everything to make you leave that family. Cons: Late hours. No overtime. Favourites amongst staff. Managers sleeping with staff"

"you will stand at the grill for hours and no break. No padding or slip mats. In a kitchen that is 4x12 with five other stations. btw; you have to slide by all of them to get to the cheese melter; salamander/ broiler, on every burger. Cons: Work work work"

"I worked for a year as a line chef, started as a dish washer, and the place was just dreadfull, management didn't care and worked specific people to the bone, I was doing 60 hour weeks and when I tried to get my hours reduced they straight up refused, they pay what they want, my younger and less experienced co worker was paid about a pound more than me ph, front of house have an easy time however, they prefer them under age partly because my line managers were pervs but also they can pay them less, they normally only work 8 hour weeks but make ridiculous tips and never stop complaining, seriously screw tgi's. Cons: management suck"

"Terrible company to work for clock in for shifts but get paid for less hours but no one takes responsibility. 6 restaurant managers in 6 years. progression only if someone already works in store and promotes you. Senior managers don’t have the skills to do their jobs and spend their time in the office or outside on a cig break. Lots of discrimination to non English staff. Want so much from you but give little back Cons: Poor unsupportive management, poor pay, poor kitchen cleanliness, serves rotten veg"

"Waiter argues back with and gets attitude, still had beef on my requested veggie burger…super slow service, deteriorating architecture, frozen food heated and placed in front of me for super overpriced items "

"Had me on hold for 10 minutes to place a order. Then when I get there to pick up my food, I asked the lady y’all are busy tonight & she said no. I said why I was on hold for 10 minutes trying to place a order. I only have 30 minutes for my lunch break & my food was cook to hard. I didn’t enjoy it. I had to throw it away. This is sad."

"Sunday, I picked up a To Go order. My order consisted of their new cheesesteak rolls minus the cheesesteak. Just some gooey cheese inside. If you want a cheesesteak roll go to Firebirds. I also ordered the Cajun Shrimp & Chicken Pasta. I took one bite. It tasted like vomit! I took it back and got my money back. I strongly feel if I had eaten the pasta I would’ve ended up in the hospital with food poisoning. I was suspicious of why they gave me enough to feed 3 people and I realized it was probably leftovers from days ago. There was NOTHING fresh about it. This is one of the nastiest frozen food tasting restaurants I’ve ever eaten and I will NEVER eat there again!"

"I tried to get a table for me and my partner and my five children today I got told no way because there’s too many of us wouldn’t even consider giving me two tables as the table is booked was for six of us plus a highchair but they said due to coronavirus they could let us add as there’s too many I just feel like I’ve been penalised for having five children had to see my children so upset by this has really annoyed me TGi Friday you’ve just lost a very good customers maybe the customer service could just be that little bit better in this crisis Rather than making it uncomfortable outing I was made to feel like a bad person because me and my partner and our five children wanted to go for food"

"I bought 2 stale bags of cheddar and bacon potato skins. I looked at the best used day date and it said DEC 1820. Wow. They need to get alot better at quality control. Wish I could post a pic of this. Be sure to read before you by anything. I just wasted my time and money on stale cardboard chips. Thanks T.g.i"

"We dined as a family of 4 last night and we (especially I) were absolutely devastated by the service and more importantly our mains. Drinks were dumped on the corner of the table twice with no help getting them to the correct seat, same with the food and at one point I was asked to pass the plates over the table. My main came after everyone else was half way through there meal, and this was only because I asked where it was. Then when it came it was cold and I refused to eat it. I left the restaurant devastated, embarrassed and more importantly- hungry! What a shame on your team, the restaurant was probably 25% full there was no excuse for this. "went to TGI cribbs causeway we were meet by the door and taken to our table that was all good. Then over comes the person who supposedly would be looking after us taken our orders 45 minutes later food turns up cold found it very hard to get drink refills place wasn't even busy to say they were rushed off there feet,we had booked to go here again on the 02/08/20 but have now cancelled this as the TGI @ CRIBBS have a terrible customer care policy and would rather laugh among themselves instead of providing a good customer service"

"Love TGI but what I dont agree with is their take aways being the same price as sitting. Other restaurants who do take away are cheaper. Especially at this time when you cant sit in anyway. Rip off"
