Sylvanian Families Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback

From Everything.Sucks

Sylvanian Families (シルバニアファミリー, Shirubania famirī) is a line of collectible anthropomorphic animal figurines made of flocked plastic. They were created by the Japanese gaming company Epoch in 1985 and distributed worldwide by a number of companies.

According to an article posted on Independent titled: SYLVANIAN FAMILIES: HOW FOLKSY WAYS AND WHOLESOME VALUES CAPTURED A GLOBAL AUDIENCE, " Epoch is very keen on connectability. You sense that these changes don’t sit well with all Sylvanian connoisseurs, but there’s a lucrative second-generation market of parents ("predominantly mums", notes Miller-Poole) who played with them as children and are now eager to instil a bit of Sylvanian wholesomeness in their own offspring. Reviews of the range abound on parenting sites. "These little beasts are the bane of my life," writes one Mumsnetter. "Disgustingly over-priced teensy tiny bits and pieces which get all too easily lost and broken. They ARE cute though." But the intricate detail of these "teensy" pieces is precisely what attracts collectors and miniaturists who still hold Sylvanian Families in very high regard."

Another also added " I ordered 2 sylvanian family sets and both of them arrive battered. Very annoyed as they were birthday presents. Won’t buy from here again."

Lara Maiklem says

"On 3 April 2020, I ordered a bundle of Sylvanian items for my daughter's 8th birthday present (thankfully early because they said shipping would be slow). Emailed them 15th April when it still hadn't arrived. Told there had be a 'system error' and the special offer bundle I had ordered was out of stock. They have taken the bundle down, but looking at the website the various components of the bundle are still available individually at full price . I don't know what's going on, but I can guess and will be reporting them to Trading Standards. In the meantime I have to explain to an 8 year old why she has nothing to unwrap on her birthday. Avoid this company and shop elsewhere."

Tasnim says

"Sylvanian Families has an online U.K. store where I placed my order. I placed my order on Monday 6th April and it’s been over a week now but I still have not received my item. I understand there could be a delay but it doesn’t explain why my order status has not been updated. The status still says ‘processing’ but it shouldn’t take over a week just to process the order. I tried to contact the company multiple times via phone and email but no one responds. Every time I call it just goes to voicemail and every email I have sent has been ignored. I’m so disappointed with the service and the lack of professionalism. The customer service is terrible because they do not attend to customers’ queries and they just take your money without sending the item out for delivery."
