Sales/Customer Service (Former Employee) says

"Their Toxic culture is paired with a bad work life balance. Not to mention terrible management. This company is bound to fail. If you enjoy long hours, working on Saturdays, drama, and people talking behind your back this is the place for you."

Driver (Former Employee) says

"Manager were worthless especially the upper management."

Owner/Operator (Former Employee) says

"Poor management. Call the office with a problem and your lucky if someone answers or if they do answer they tell you they will get back to you. Yeah 2 or 3 hrs later. Most of their trailers are old out of date trailers. Your lucky if you bring home 800 to 900 a week as a owner operator Cons: To many to list. Save your self a big headache and go somewhere else"

Driver (Former Employee) says

"Expect to work for free and train for 10 hour..they dont want to pay you for your first week and only let you have 2 loads or 160 bucks a day..If your new its impossible to make money and the hours will have you up at 4 am and 12 to 14 hour days for your two loads..... Cons: No m9ney, poor management, long hours"

Dispatcher (Former Employee) says

"They have had 40 dispatchers in 5 years. The work environment is very negative and uncomfortable. Management belittles you to your team mates and anyone else that will listen rather than communicating with the source. Management is bias and allows toxic behavior instead of being a positive role model and standing up for what is right or assisting others. There is no training and the expectations are unclear. The job basically consists of taking calls from upset brokers or from unhappy ustomers that did not get what they ordered. Being petty, completely unprofessional and flat out telling the manager “no” when asked to perform a task seem to be more important qualities here than employing people who care enough to go above and beyond their initial job duties and take clear initiative to grow the company. Cons: Uncomfortable work environment, unfair favoritism, no training"

Dispatch manager (Former Employee) says

"I was hired as a dispatch manager with three females. Everyone something went wekng they pointed the finger at me. I stayed humbled and did my beat to keep the plants running. Out of nowhere one of the mangers came in and told me that my services were not needed anymore. I worked dispatch around the clock and carried my laptop and cell phone everywhere. I gave up family time on my weekends off so the dispatchers could go out and enjoy there weekend life as none of them had kids like I did . Cons: No support whatsoever"

Truck Driver (Former Employee) says

"You get paid by the load and they don't keep or have good paying contracts with customers. If there's no work there's no pay, they have no guarantee for aggregate drivers. You suppose to get a safety bonus every six months, they will hold it 4 months over sometimes."

Accounts Payable Specialist (Former Employee) says

"This is a solid boys club company, if the work and effort that was put in had been appreciated this would still be a thriving company, It really is a shame that this company was not run better. Cons: Atmosphere"

End Dump driver (Former Employee) says

"Get paid by the load. Some weeks you make good money but others your lucky to break 10/hr. It's all up to dispatch who gets what loads. Company paid breakdown pay at around 12/hr which is fine however repeatedly tried to make me work weekends just moving trucks from one terminal to another for that 12/hr."

Truck Driver (Former Employee) says

"You will be away from home for long periods of time."

Over the road truck driver (Former Employee) says

Bulk Driver (Former Employee) says

"Work was good, management ok, equipment could be better. That part of the company closed after i left. I wish I could have stayed there. Long hours. Cons: Strict, no second chances, Long hours, Makes getting paid by the load feast or famine, Its ok if paid by the hour"

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"I worked at Sunset Transportation full-time Cons: They will try to bring you in at a super low salary. Good luck ever getting more. People are not listened to unless you’re in upper management. Mid level management is very difficult to work with."
