Staybridge Suites is an all-suite, residential-style brand of hotels within the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG). The brand targets extended-stay and corporate travelers. There are over 200 Staybridge Suites hotels open in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Europe and South America.
User "Eduardo G" wrote a review on the "TripAdvisor" website in March 2017, complaining about the Staybridge Suite in Querétaro city, Mexico:
"Breakfast is very bad. I had to eat on a table with other people's dirty plates because there was nobody there to clean. Water from the shower went out all the way to the BED! The bathroom sink was clogged. Light bulbs were not working. Plus I did not get the room I had reserved. I made reservations for a 2 room suite and they gave me 2 separate rooms. My problem is I was traveling with my family (3 young children) so I could not let them by themselves in another room. The rooms are very outdated. The only good thing is the people at the front desk are very friendly and kind. However, that is not enough. And they gave me a 50% discount for the inconvenience of giving me the wrong room."

The company is all about there growth but know nothing about how to treat others from the ceo to the regional managers. Dont waste your time. Insurance is the worst and this is a terrible hostile work enviorment. Cons: Everything"
Employee (Former Employee) says"This hotel was the first hotel in my years that I have had difficulties with. First of all they do not promote within. Management and front desk staff talks about employees behind your back. The jobs are always daily routines and nothing different each day. The front desk, sales, maintenance and management are buddy-buddy which is annoying. If you ever want to succeed in the hospitality industry this is not the place to be."

Front Desk Agent (Former Employee) says"There is little no communication throughout the staff. They introduce softwares that help with communication, but then the managers don’t even use or enforce the use of it. I would not suggest working here unless you really need a job."
Night Auditor (Former Employee) says"Honestly I wouldn't work for this company, the new front desk manager is manipulative and rude. I hope staybridge the best but good people don't treat people like garbage. The person who trained me made lies up to the manager which resulted in my termination, as well as the manager calling my previous employer and defamatory remarks were made. The employees are snakes who care only of their own agenda, and will throw you under the bus every chance they get, it’s no wonder they have such a high turnover rate for employees in barely 2 years of business. Cons: Horrible management company, rude employees"

Front Desk (Former Employee) says"Just dont waste your effort or time. They use you and when you ask for a development plan they say its not full service hotel we dont have growth potential, i even asked for a recommendation letter for my masters the management department acted all busy and didnt have time to do it. after i started numbers prove changes and they said they have been doing good even before i started. They promised a raise and when i asked about it “due to covid” we arent giving a raise, not even a thank you for risking life to work there. THEY DON’T EVEN PAY THE DOUBLE FOR WORKING HOLIDAYS"
Houeskeeping supervisor (Current Employee) says"To start the company has very horrible managment. They can never keep to their promise .They have alot of favortism toward certain employess. The executive house would always be having cigarettes outside instead of inside helping her team on day where it could have been the difference between all the rooms getting done and not getting done. Also the executive house was always gossiping and allowing gossip to go on. So there fore it made the work place very uncomfortable. Cons: Everything about the atmosphere was horrible."
Housekeeper (Former Employee) says"There were certain things that I really liked working for Staybridge. They can be really laid back and cool. But there are more things I did not like or appreciate. They don't really make you feel valued as an employee and I honestly think they're so laid back because a lot of things are wrong there. There are poor communication skills, management is unprofessional,management talks down on guests and employees, plays favorites to certain employees. Poor training and unorganized. I got along with maybe 4 employees. I helped put Staybridge together before it even opened up for business. All in All I absolutely hated it. I had to work there for the time being and tough it out for a paycheck for my family. Cons: to many"

Front Desk Agent (Former Employee) says"Workers are made to work holidays, but do not receive holiday pay, which is an order from the owners. What will make it worse is that they will pull up to the hotel in their luxury car and tell you about their Christmas vacation to somewhere expensive, while you've spent Christmas without your family and have little to nothing to show for it. Cons: Management, Owners, No Holiday Pay, Employees are Undervalued"

Housekeeper (Former Employee) says"When I worked here this place was just awful. They pay their cleaners almost nothing and played favorites the whole time. You work until your designated work load for the day is finished so one day you could work 3 hours and the next you could work 12 and you barely get a break. The best part about it was that you would get some regular guests that could be really awesome and become really fun to work with/for."

Other than that it's a bunch of thieves. Mold all in the hotel kitchen halls under the sink inside dishwashers...and pet stained odor rooms."

MASSIVLY mismanaged, ownership does NOT care about the welfare of their employees, you will simple be a slave, to be abused and discarded when you are of no more use to them. ZERO benefits to working there, no vacation, no sick days, no holidays, raises are almost nonexistent. Employee turn over rate is astronomical, in 2 yrs, 5 General managers, 8 Executive housekeepers, 7 Front desk managers, and a constant turn over of line employees."

Former Employee - Front Desk Agent says"I worked at Staybridge Suites part-time for less than a year Cons: The whole time that I was working there, I was not paid on time and sometimes I wasn't even given a paycheck stub. There was a time when the pay dates were switched so I went without pay for 3 weeks. The owner of the hotel is very unprofessional, he would talk to all the employees disrespectfully and would tell the employees to lie to the guest. The hotel is very poorly built, during the time that I was there, there was a total of about 20 rooms that were put out of order due to things like there being no electricity in the room and etc. The cable in the rooms would constantly go in and out causing us to move the guest around several times during their stay."
Former Employee - Front Desk Agent says"I worked at Staybridge Suites full-time for more than 3 years Cons: Management can be really harsh, very controlling, shows favoritism,targets certain employees, constantly changes schedule(without your consent), it's managements'S way, or the highway, constantly monitors the pantry, under the impression that staff is stealing, which is a problem that has happened since the hotel opened(2008 pantry sales aren't meeting budget). Guests could have more leverage and power than the employees at all times, security is not taken serious, and guests are at risk . The corporate office tries to save money, by only employing officers on the weekend , which is very sad indeed. You have to constantly watch your back for stalkers and people who are soliciting the hotel."
