SpringHill Suites Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback

From Everything.Sucks

SpringHill Suites is a brand of hotels operated by Marriott International. Geared toward the upper-moderate lodging segment of the hospitality industry, the chain consists of all-suite hotels. As of June 30, 2020, it has 470 hotels with 55,595 rooms in addition to 187 hotels with 21,307 rooms in the pipeline.

On January 2017, "jvaj60" stayed at SpringHill Suites and wrote a review on TRIPADVISOR:

"I am a Marriott gold rewards member and credit cardholder. MARRIOTT Marriott is my brand of choice and I am a business traveler.

So I hope you take my advice and stay away from this property in Mobile.

I got to my room and there was no way to turn off the bathroom fan. The noise was significant. When I called the reception to change my room the receptionist told me that it was the same in all rooms and to close the door to block out the noise. The building was built in this way.

I closed the door and the noise was not significantly blocked.

I don't think I am a picky traveler. I am not bothered by the noise of the air and heat units of some hotel chains or more noise. However, the noise from the Springhill Suites mobile bathroom fan it's something you should keep away."

Houseman/Housekeeper (Former Employee) says

"Was a great place to work. A new manager shows up one day out the blue and change the place for the worst and not for the best. She is terrible when it comes to employees. She's rude disrespectful and lies to your face and behind your back. She had no previous hotel experience and she still got the job. The job she was working at before spring hill she was fired from for stealing. Springhill and there management is JOKE"

Guest Service Representative (Former Employee) says

"I was extremely excited to work at this company at first! They will work you like a dog, the scheduling is inconsistent. The management sucks, they will over look your requests. They scheduled me working and sometimes only wanted to give me 4 solid hours to rest between shifts. They are inconsiderate and the hotel is garbage. So many malfunctioning things were happening. The GM is RUDE and can be a bit nasty to guests. I do not recommend working there. Cons: The entire job, hotel and management"

Houseman/Housekeeper p0 (Former Employee) says

"The General manager is a joke all about himself don't care about his employees at all. I would not recommend anyone to work there unless they get rid off the General manager because he is a racist . Very unprofessional always not having enough people working cutting back on busy days. Before I got hired they never passed an inspection of the hotel. Cons: Slavery mentally"

Housekeeping (Former Employee) says

"No les recomiendo para nada trabajar en este lugar. Te tratan por encima del hombro como si fueras menos que ellos. Cons: Todo"

Auditor (Former Employee) says

"go ahead and work here if you want to be treated like nothing. Its horrible management is a joke. Pay is a joke. You will get in trouble if you say no you can't come in on your day off or work a double. Everyone is paid the same but you will be stuck doing your job plus managements."

Maintenance Worker (Former Employee) says

"Nothing good to report about working here. Wish they were more employee oriented. It's more about their bottom line than people. Cant say I gained much experience here. Job titles are a little to fluid for most people. Cons: Just about everything and everyone"

Housekeeper (Former Employee) says

"I loved the job but the Management was awful and had no care for the hard work the employees did everyday. Would give one Maid and entire floor to do alone with each floor with 20 rooms. If an entire floor checked out that day you were responsible to get all the rooms done in a certain amount of time no matter the condition of the rooms. Same days would take 12+ hours with one 30 min lunch."

Houseman (Former Employee) says

"The manger's there don't care about you at all!.The only things they care about is make sure the motel is clean and make sure the room's are don't. Don't never never work for that company."

Front Desk Agent (Former Employee) says

"Do not go there for employment! You have been warned. They pay you for as many hours as they want instead of the hours worked. They say they pay holiday pay to get you to work holidays and never pay you. Then call it the industry Norm!"

Housekeeper (Former Employee) says

"Would never recommend working here!!"

Valet/Breakfast attendent (Former Employee) says

"Management doesn't have employee's best interest at heart and picks and chooses what issues it wants to deal with. Management is immature and unprofessional."

Head Breakfast Attendant (Former Employee) says

"I do not reccomend working here. The management and owners are very conceited, and do not treat their workers fair at all. I worked plenty of overtime, being that we were so understaffed, and I was never compensated for those hours worked. All in all, WORST place I've ever been employed. This marriot needs to be shut down before it collapses from the inside out."

Housekeeping (Former Employee) says

"They like foreign workers, the work load is over bearing, never no tips. Employees would rent room for discount and leave unbearable messing, want person to work every title without pay. A lot of favorite. Wasn't my best job. Wish I could get another Marriott, this location wasn't the best experience for me"

Housekeeper (Former Employee) says

"Needs a better G.M she has a bad attitude and never has time to discuss job related issues always in a hurry never time to talk to the people who works there"

"The job didn’t pay enough to deal with awful guest and medicore management, between Spring Hill and towneplace, I can’t decide which is worse. They are not family friendly,"

Shuttl driver, bartender, and general handyman. (Former Employee) says

"The manager is a pathological liar. She is always talking smack on other employees, guests, and even the owner. She micromanage's everyone. The hotel is a very nice hotel but it is expensive and terribly managed."

Housekeeping (Former Employee) says

"They suck as a whole in the management department. They talk about they employees instead of talking to them they talk about them and it a sad but serious situation that could get out of hand but management do not care"

Karen Larkan says

"Booked a room at La Quinta online through the Hotel4Teams web site. When the confirmation came through reservation was at a Days Inn that had received 1 star terrible ratings. Called customer service. Was told it "changed names" to which I replied that it was a different address. Cancelled the Days Inn reservation and was supposed to be transferred to booking to make the correct reservation and was conveniently hung up on TWICE. I would avoid any type of business dealings with this company. Very suspect business practices!"

David Leiman says

"Hotels4Teams is a SCAM. The company block books hotel rooms so that they are unavailable to regular consumers, then resells them and makes reservations through Expedia, etc. H4T provides no customer service when you want to cancel a reservation. My son had a baseball tournament in Mesa. I tried to find a hotel through Expedia, Trivago, etc. but couldn't find anything. H4T had a variety of rooms available in the properties I searched so I reserved a room. I had to prepay to confirm my reservation (non-refundable). Needless to say, the tournament and international travel was cancelled due to COVID-19. I called and emailed H4T, received a generic computer generated email indicating they would look into the request. I called the resort to cancel the reservation but was told that because the reservation was made through a third party they could not cancel it. I tried to cancel the reservation through Expedia but could not. Even after leaving numerous email and phone call messages, I never received a call back. Don't ever use this company. Customer service is 'ZERO'."

Omez Fatz says

"HOTEL 4 TEAMS IS ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. ON MY WAY TO VEGAS I WAS CALLED BY PRICELINE TO TELL ME THAT EXTENDED STAY BASICALLY GAVE MY ROOM AWAY AND THAT I NEEDED TO GO THROUGH HOTEL 4 TEAMS RE-BOOK. CALLED H4T AND DARBY TOLD ME I HAD TO CALL CUSTOMER SERVINCE IN THE MORNING TO RE-BOOK OR GET MY REFUND. HAD NO INTEREST IN HELPING ME WHATSOEVER. WHEN I ADVISED DARBY I WAS ALREADY ON THE ROAD AND WAS A FEW HOURS OUT FROM VEGAS HE SAID 'I'M SORRY MA'AM IM IN THE SALES DEPT THERE'S NOTHING I CAN DO.' WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. LONG STORY SHORT, PRICELINE WAS WHO HELPED ME AND WAS ABLE TO GET ME BOOKED INTO ANOTHER HOTEL. ONCE H4T TAKE YOUR MONEY THAT'S IT, THEY ARE NO LONGER HELPFUL. HORRIBLE PLACE"

Rebecca Burnett says

"Booked a hotel and prepaid in full. When I arrived to Boston, I pulled up my reservation with booking number but there was no address for the hotel. When I googled the hotel name it said “permanently closed” the only number in the reservation wS hotels4tesms and they wouldn’t answer or return my calls. I looked up the phone number for the hotel and it was a restaurant in Boston who had never heard of it. I lost all my money and had to book a last minute hotel at 3 times the price. No one from hotels4tesms returned my call over 3 days I left messages. Very frustrating"
