Specials Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback

From Everything.Sucks

The Specials, also known as The Special AKA, are an English 2 Tone and ska revival band formed in 1977 in Coventry. After some early changes, the first stable lineup of the group consisted of Terry Hall and Neville Staple on vocals, Lynval Golding and Roddy Radiation on guitars, Horace Panter on bass, Jerry Dammers on keyboards, John Bradbury on drums, and Dick Cuthell and Rico Rodriguez on horns.

Stuart Derdeyn's review of the band's album of covers pans it as "Wretched [Today's Specials], and an embarrassment to a great band's legacy...makes me wonder how it's possible that the same band -- minus their real creative force, Jerry Dammers -- could be responsible for this tired, lame bit of second-rate bar-band-by-numbers disc. It sucks."

Warehouse worker (Former Employee) says

"So many people are related to each other that it is hard not to see the favoritism being played. The hours are long and the environment is brutal. Some people are friendly, but on the most part everyone is fake. There are no annual raises. The pay you start out with is basically the same pay you will have for years. They don't take experience into account when it comes to pay. They would rather bring in someone's family member instead of promoting from within. Cons: everything else"

QC Inspector (Former Employee) says

"Very nice place to work I enjoyed my time there just was trying to get into a new field and try something new. I would revamend anyone to get a job there"
