Snugride Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback
Graco (pronounced gray-co) is an American baby products company based in High Point, North Carolina. It is owned and operated by Newell Brands. Graco was founded in 1942 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, by Russell Gray and Robert Cone (hence the name) as Graco Metal Products, a company that fabricated machine and car parts.
An angry parent mentioned, "I was initially happy with the Graco SnugRide Infant Car Seat BUT THEN about 6 months after I started using it I started to notice the seat would some times get stuck at the base. I would pull the handle all the way and try to lift up and out but the latch would not release from the base. It began to happen more and more often. At first it was just a minor inconvenience and I would eventually be able to get the seat off the base. Then there were times when I couldn't get the latch to release and I would have to take my baby out of the seat and carry him, usually waking him up in the process, because I couldn't get the seat out of the car. I contacted Graco directly and they requested all sorts of info, pictures, video, you name it. I was sure that they would offer some sort of solution. They responded back that I should make sure to pull the handle all the way and pull the seat straight up and out. Yep, pretty sure I did that. They then said to be sure and contact them back if the problem persisted, which it did. About every 3rd time I tried to take the seat out I couldn't get it to release. So I contacted them again, still sure they would help. I received an e-mail saying they had received my message and would get back to me within 72 hours. 10 days later no response, I sent 2 more emails and waited 3 weeks and still no response. Poor customer service and a defective product that I paid top dollar for. Very disappointed in this car seat and even more with the company."
