Skybox Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback

From Everything.Sucks

Skybox Security is a computer security company. The company is headquartered in San Jose, California, and R&D offices in Herzliya Israel.

On GLASSDOOR, a former employee wrote a bad review on December 2018 about working in Skybox:

"Unlimited PTO is just a way for the company to keep payouts on departures off the books. They still track and monitor how many days you take off and discourage any more than the usual 15 days a year.

A lot of the upper management is completely disconnected from the reality of the disorganization that exists among roles and internal systems.

Lack of transparency and vision. No monthly or quarterly all hands.

People in places of power are not interested in building a better company or culture. They just want to keep themselves employed and looking good on paper.

They say they want to hear the challenges, but you speak up, you will be on the chopping block and thought of as being 'negative.'

No real career growth. Start at a salary you can accept for a long time because raises are few and far between."

Bartender/Server (Former Employee) says

"Never received paychecks, hours were long, never got any breaks. I worked so hard, and was never acknowledged for that. I do not recommend. They also overschedule and it’s hard to make any money unless you’re a bartender, and they are full staffed on bartenders."

Rotary Die Cutter Operator (Former Employee) says

"Only worked there for 2 years and was laid off. Enjoyed most of the work, but it was very very hot in the summertime. The benefits were like bare minimum. Do not know if that has changed or not. Cons: Benefits"

Bar-Back (Current Employee) says

"I typical day at work is clocking in and gathering plans for the day as team. We try to play the best music possible for the crowd which is different each night. Making drinks, food and helping the girls make extra money is fun and challenging. Help building friendships and great customer service for the girls is rewarding enough through the shift that it makes in enjoyable to come back to work day after day. Cons: healthcare, hours, hourly wages"

Server and Hostess (Current Employee) says

"Sky-box gets busy usually around like 8 pm with the count of usually 5 waitresses on a Wednesday night. I get the opportunity to meet many of incredible people that are out going and friendly which leads to making regulars. I enjoy the fact pace when the place is packed and take pride in knowing that I am helping people enjoy themselves while their out and about. I learned how to hold conversations, engage with others, and work off of independence but can come together and work with my team members when needed. Management has been kind of rocky at Sky-Box since I started the management that is there now has done a lot and helped improved the atmosphere. The hardest part about working at Sky-Box is when the number of waitresses out numbers the number of customers. Therefore we all are on each others toes trying to get tables. Also the fact that we don't have sections therefore the waitresses can waitress anywhere and we all have to be aware and move quick in order to get tables. The most enjoyable part about my job is seeing people enjoy themselves. It is always nice to hear customers say Thank you and that I helped them very well and did a good job."
