Sky News Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback

From Everything.Sucks

Sky News is a British free-to-air television news channel and organisation. Sky News is distributed via a radio news service, and through online channels. It is owned by Sky Group, a division of Comcast. John Ryley is the head of Sky News, a role he has held since June 2006. Sky News is currently Royal Television Society News Channel of the Year, the 12th time it has held the award.

3 reason why Sky News sucks:

1. Lack of neutrality. 2. In August 2016 Sky News was criticised after allegedly paying €2,000 to a group of Romanians to pretend they were part of an eastern European gang selling guns to terrorists in Syria. 3. In April 2003, Sky News carried a report from James Forlong aboard the British nuclear submarine HMS Splendid purportedly showing a live firing of a cruise missile during the Iraq war. Total fake news firm!

Consultant (Former Employee) says

"It needs ages to become close to professional. Very low- level culture, management, style, treatment, NO stability at all. Definitely not a good place to work at. You can only join if you would like to spend time socializing and being nothing. It is a real joke and it is sad. Most of the management is opportunistic, barely educated or experienced in the field and you have to suffer daily if you need to reach any of the management. Very weak organizational system, weak management and definitely NO GROWTH. Don’t be manipulated by any offer or promise. It was the worst and silliest experience I had at a eork place! A real joke. It is closer to a Market than a workplace. You can clearly tell the moment you walk in or deal with any of the semi- managers!!! A lot of politics to waste your time and drain your energy. Truly closer to a Market than a work place. You will motice once u walk in. Cons: A real life JOKE not a work place."

Former Contractor - Roving Reporter says

"I worked at Sky News Arabia for more than 3 years Cons: - Chaotic management techniques - they hire you for a position and a month later they change your title without explanation - understaffed, 1 person has to do the job of 4 sometimes - Management has a dishonest way of dealing with employees ex: the Washington reporter resigned after a lot of pressure had been placed on him. Management asked him to go back on his resignation in order to discuss it. Once he did, they fired him a week later. - a VERY HIGH turn over in middle management the head of input was changed 4 times , output 3 times and maybe after your read this they will change again... - They handle their reporter teams very badly and inhumanly, a team was lost in Aleppo because of the bad practices. - Ultra racial - Advancement criteria unclear at all advice: STAY AWAY from this horrible place!"
