The Sara Lee Corporation was an American consumer-goods company based in Downers Grove, Illinois. It had operations in more than 40 countries and sold its products in over 180 countries. Its international operations were headquartered in Utrecht, The Netherlands. While no longer operated independently, as of 2020, Sara Lee still actively exists as a current brand name under the auspices of holding company Kohlberg, making frozen cakes, etc. at its present facility in Illinois, United States.

Lindsay mentioned, "Sara Lee's Classic Original Cream Cheesecake was honestly one of the 2 worst cheesecakes I’ve ever had. The other was from a local spot around the corner. If the zombie apocalypse started today and I hadn’t eaten in 7 days, walked into a house and saw this cheesecake I’d slaughter it with a crossbow for fear it might infect the next passerby. Whoever said this is a good cheesecake prolly thinks a McDonald’s burger is 5 star. This cheesecake was cheeks."

"Weak senior management and lack of strategy. Continue to lose large customers to other companies who listen to what customers want. Senior management does not have relationships with key customers. Employees spend more time dealing with internal issues than with customers. Decision makers are not in tune with what is happening in the marketplace."

"very long working days are of 12-16 and even 18 hours for long periods of time and is the expected norm.. implementation of too many priorities, promotions and opportunities to be excecuted become haze and confusion both at the distributor and broker level and hard to keep up with and implement. Change is made often with personnel and re-organizing. They have a reputation of instability in the market place due to these personnel changes too often and layoffs every couple of years. Relationships have to be started over and distributors feel that Sara Lee is customer friendly if its the Sara Lee way. The expression is the Sara Lee way or no way... and its frequently joked about. Performance and hard work may be outweight by favoritism or "in click" when making these personel changes or layoffs and are not substantiated by performance which should be at minimal considered. Sara lee will not keep the talent they and the new talent will recognize this is not where they want to be long term."

"Management is third rate and changes far too frequently to be effective. Hours are long and variable depending on your specific manager. Culture is weak at best and there's significant tension between groups. There is little collaboration between functions and groups and compromise is rare. Management seems to have a 'with me or against me' attitude toward employees and dissent. Recent changes have been short-term wins but long term deficits. Company seems to focus exclusively on short term, with little mind given toward increasing bench strength or training great rookies. A significant amount of favoritism seems to influence major decisionmaking."

How to deal with unhappy employees and my boss was a nice person easy to get along with. Keeping the place clean for employees didn't care about leaving a mess. "Tweeted my disdain and received no reply... Very rude and poor customer service. We purchased the cappuccino maxwell house and it was terrible. Absolutely no froth or creamy taste ... I Have bought this regularly from Costco but now they have done something to it and it’s terrible .. not only does it look like old coffee that has been stood but it tastes terrible. I would not recommend this product."

"So, there was a technical issue whilst trying to get a FREE SAMPLE …. They sent me a £10 gift voucher … BUT I had to spend £20 first to get the free postage otherwise it was £4. Then whilst trying to speak to the customer team, I was told by Callum to phone 0845 2711818 as it was a free number. Now I have an additional £3.50 to pay on my phone bill. So to summarise, my free sample (which I did not get) has cost me £3.50. What an absolute joke of a company, total amateurs ……."
