Warehouse (Former Employee) says

"a typical day at work was cool and relaxed. Everyone got along and worked together as a team. I learned how to work fast and efficient. What hardest part was scraping the tape off the ground. The most enjoyable part of the job meeting new people and working as a team"

Stand Worker (Former Employee) says

"great way to meet people from all over, it was quite busy overtime and very overwhelming. Cant predict how your day goes Cons: on-call, long daily hours, dirty work areas, hot area"

Electrical Technician (Former Employee) says

"While working this job I worked through a temp agency. Supervisor was very good and made sure I was taken care of. Coworkers were fun and made it feel like a second home."

Banquet Server on call (Current Employee) says

"This convention hall is big. It is relaxed but fast paced. There is more of a team working to get the job done. Unfortunately it is very hard to advance in the position. If you are willing to work part time and work at other properties at the same time it will be a good place to work. The pay is less than standard hotel casinos. Cons: Not very good lunch."

Banquet Chef (Former Employee) says

"It was a busy schedule at times but it has its peaks and down times. It all depends on what your assigned job was for the day. I believe this company has a lot of opportunity if things were a little more organized. Cons: healthcare"

Exhibitor Services Representative (Former Employee) says

"There are an infinite number of tasks for this position, always fast paced, and you have to be comfortable speaking with others. Management is not always the most knowledgeable. Interesting to mingle with an array of exhibitors. Cons: unclear expectations"

Banquet Chef (Former Employee) says

"There was a lot of moving parts that goes on behind the scenes when dealing with banquets. So it was fast pace and had its intense moments but overall good working exerience"

Cook/Prep (Current Employee) says

"I worked as a carver for banquets, set up and breaking down stations, loading and unload delivery truck for the banquets."

Data Entry (Former Employee) says

"A typical day at Sands Expo was inputting data, answering phone calls, faxing, emailing, making copies and handling customer complaints. I learned that I can multitask in a face pace environment. Management was resourceful and my co-workes did not believe in teamwork, but two did care. The hardest part of the job was when my manager volunteer me for a job that was cover in the job description. The most enjoyable part of the job was seeing the different booth inside the convention center. Cons: no teamwork"
