General Manager (Former Employee) says"If you like to work very and I mean very long hours then go ahead they dont give you enough staff hours so you have to put alot of them in yourself, still stone age with all the paperwork no computer system but the tills everything else is on paper, 32k a year for a management couple (17k) each and you'll be doing anything from 60 hrs up a week with 1 day off no assistant managers because they wont pay the wages list goes on... Cons: Long hrs, little pay no respect from the owners"

General Manager (Former Employee) says"Put a lot of personal time, money and effort into working for this Brewery and lost every penny. I believe this company is a scam! They have hired over seven sets of joint managers for the bar in Edinburgh all paying in bonds of £1500 over the last 2yrs and are advertising again for managers. If you do not stay with the company for a year they will deduct the cost of training from your final salary, don't actually expect to get one as no managers yet have left with wages or a return on their bond."
Manager (Former Employee) says"Humphrey Smith is the most difficult person you could ever work for. I strongly recommend everybody stay well clear of him and his company. He has NO man management skills and rules his company with a rod of iron. He has no feelings for his clients who frequent his public houses, no mobiles or iPads in any of his pubs, no calls to be received or made! Who does he think he is. A real slave driver to. He doesn’t want 40 hours a week, he wants 80 minimum. His turnover of managers is frightening."

General Manager (Former Employee) says"Working extremely long hours from 7am to midnight, an quite frequently to early hours of the morning, 7 days a week.. No work/life balance what so ever. No support network to aid, with constant threat of losing your job if you do not do what you are told to do whether it includes breaking the law, putting your livelihood and career on the line. Salary was pathfectic in relation to work. Offered a basic salary of 23k for a joint salary. Salary to run this type of establishment is 35k at least for a single appointment with other companies."

We didn't really get days off unless we worked extra hours another day and getting a day off together was once in a blue moon (not even Christmas day). Cons: long long hours, very low wages"
