A former fan wrote this in a review "I loved Sally Field before reading this memoir. I understand the horrible childhood ( and was not expecting that and I feel so sorry about her living through that) but she never seems to move on. It was a bit whiney and a totally sad account of someone who seriously can’t survive in her own skin. The book is basically her unhealthy attachment to her mom and all the wrong men! It’s one thing to be close to your mother, it’s another to not be able to function on your own two feet ever! The last chapter felt like a memoir of her mother, not Sally Field! And please stop losing your identity for the sake of men and other people in general. Seems like all the women in her life , grandmother, mother, sister, herself, just couldn’t get past the lack of communication & lack of confidence and just bad choices of men. There was no mention of her “ you like me, you really like me” speech. I always felt bad she ever had to say that, but after reading this memoir, I don’t like her anymore. I truly wish I didn’t waste my money on this poorly written book. There are times when the writing made me go back a paragraph to see if I missed something because a new topic was thrust out of nowhere and I was left feeling like there was a page or two of dialogue missing! This was not a fun read. Quite a drudgery to get through actually. I’m glad I’m done and can move on to my next book!"

CPJ says"DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY I ordered 4 tops from Newchic, they came and were not the correct sizes. I emailed for a returns label but Newchic are not replying. I have not had a refund or new items, despite sending many many emails and complying with their returns policy DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY They are made from cheap material, in Hong Kong, and you will not get your money back"
Luiza says"Horrible company. Never delivered. Now I'm struggling to get my £72 back. Terrible customer service. Do not order anything with them."
Lillian Swain says"Never ever do business do with this company! I placed an order for 3 items on April 25, 2020. In late May, I was refunded the cost of one of my items. On June 20, I tried tracking the other two items. Utilizing the live online chat feature, I was told the shipment was held in U.S. customs per the coronovirus, as of 6/20 (this was 3 months after my original order!). When I logged in on August 4, 2020, I was told that New Chic refunded my last two items, but their refund was off by $.01. They keep me waiting for 3 1/2 months for my order, which never arrived. This company is a poorly run business. Avoid them!"
