Proscar Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback
Finasteride, sold under the brand names Proscar and Propecia among others, is a medication used to treat an enlarged prostate or hair loss in men. It can also be used to treat excessive hair growth in women and as a part of hormone therapy for transgender women. It is taken by mouth.
A patient mentioned, “35-year-old Caucasian male. Took Proscar for a year for hair regrowth, 1/4 tab per day because Proscar is covered by health insurance and Propecia is not. Unfortunately it did not do anything and I tried in tandem with Minoxidil, which also did nothing. Furthermore, Proscar and Propecia did cause a dull pain in the prostate along with impotence, depression, and decreased semen, so that was the end for me. I really hope the FDA can authorize a pill without side effects that actually works.”
