Former Employee - Instant Service Agent says"after starting the commercial division in one store and improving it in another after i transferred there my pay was cut by nearly $2/hr and i was told this was an incentive bonus. after telling the district manager I would not accept a cut in pay I was threatened with being removed from my position and informed I would be working all nights and weekends from then on. I submitted my 2 week notice and told them I would be taking my vacation and other earned time off for the final week ,they never payed me for my earned or vacation time . I ended my employment in 2015 and have waited this long to do a revue as i felt it best to not wright a revue out of anger"
Current Employee - Anonymous Employee says"Too many to list. Basically they have a top-down management style with IT leadership being people who have "worked their way up" and are resistant to change. If you want to learn the industry standard way of doing things, don't work here. If you want to work with cloud tech, dont work here. If you want to be held to waterfall deadlines and hate scrum/agile methodology, work here. If you like being told what to work on, when to work on it, and how you will deliver it; work here."
Former Employee - Store Manager says"After getting stores up and running. They cut all the experienced managers and replaced them with less experienced folks and paid them less. my store did 2 million first year open. RM said it was not good enough. Stay away if you are looking for a long term job/career. 18 stores and they let all 18 managers go. 18 didn't fit their mold? Really? And no higher ups figured something was wrong? You would expect 10-20% would not make it, but 100%? Run... DO NOT RECCOMEND!!!"
Current Employee - Anonymous Employee says"Treat people like Trash and over work employees."
Rgs Clerk (Former Employee) says"Management is horrible. Used and abused with no compensation worth it. When you're good at your job, you can't advance because you're 'too good at your job. Management knows nothing. Nothingeverything"
Delivery Driver (Current Employee) says"poor wages no raises treated like a dog if you deliver parts you are the bottom of the barrel wages are terrible manager constantly making mistakes and lazy.nonei have already stated my thoughts plus the main office in mo. treats you poorly when you call them"
Shipping/Receiving Clerk (Current Employee) says"This place has no good manager or plant manager they lie to your face dont care for there good employees they favor the one that dont do anything all the veteran are leaving this place people that have been there longer then 10 yrs plus"
Installer Services Specialist (Former Employee) says"Don't ask for help from this company. I had asked for help In a serious situation and was demoted for it. When you have a team that doesn't care what you say and you try to get help from upper management to help alleviate the issue you figure they would at least investigate, well that is not how it works there. Don't bother. Poor pay and horrible management"
Driver (Former Employee) says"There just like the rest of them in this area of work don't pay enough money and don't care about the people who do the work and the manager is a racist to if your not in with the group of people they will push more and more work so that there friend don't have to do anything this is one of the worst places I ever worked for and the people over the manager cover up things to keep there jobs your always short handed and the turn over is about 80% because they only cares about the money they make and with a racist manager who a Mexican person if your not one of them don't waste your time it's not a easy job unless you're one of there friend there Discount part'sBeing a driver lots of work for little pay making you work inside the store and delivery to"
Returns (Former Employee) says"I would not recommend working at Oreilly Distribution Center 3. Poor management and company policies. Not enough employees for workoads. All day pressure from management. No air conditioning and poor heating in the winter. A miserable place to work."
Asisstant Manager (Former Employee) says"don't work here. It's a terrible place to work. Management is the worst. No training, no time off. Don't pay at all, management doesn't know how to do anything or even what they are doing.noneVery bad place to work"
Parts driver (Former Employee) says"Management is the worst. Especially at 4th and candelaria. And the General Manager is his buddy there really good friends so you cant go to him for any issues. They do not back up there employees at all. So for that reason alone if you get 3 complaints your fired. No job security at all. This is the worst store to work at. . All the managers care about is there sales and there bonus. Small raises if you get one. No team work what so ever! Dont get me started on covid. Because they dont clean and they dont care."
Counter Sales/Dispatching/ sales (Former Employee) says"They are the worst to work for they don't care about anyone. They are always looking for away to fire you for the smallest things. Like when my manager was to stoned to do his job and was sleeping at his desk. Shortly after reporting that I was fired for being 2 min late. NothingAll of it"
Parts Specialist (Former Employee) says"Point Of Sale system used on the frount counter is cumbersome, parts lookup is inefficient and slow. My time off requests would be given two, sometimes three weeks in advance and still denied with no reason given. On my final day I called the store two hours before my shift (as per policy) to call out due to not being able to make my shift that day (someone I was very close to had been having panic attacks and wanted someone with her) and was told "we aren't responsible for dealing with your messes at home" and was told to not come back. I have since brought up the issue with the local HR rep and as far as I can tell, nothing was done about it. All of the communications from corporate explained that managers need to be more lenient to call outs and such during COVID, but that is not the case. Not only that, the store IS NOT following cleaning procedures. Not once was my temperature taken, despite being required. I was the only one who regularly santized my keyboard and card reader. One last thing: when I was hired, I was promised $11 an hour. I was being paid $10.96 and I know three cents doesn't make much difference, but that was a bummer.Discount on partsLittle support, management overworked"
Delivery Specialist and Retail Sales (Former Employee) says"Was 15 year employee of O’Reilly Auto Parts. Never any advancement. Was driver all 15 years. Coworkers laugh at you when you pick up their slack. Long hours for mediocre pay. Raises are very minimal. Nobody cares about anybody. To the company you’re just a number to make company money. Parts are very cheap quality we dealt with a lot of angry customers and accounts over poor quality parts. This job is not I repeat not a career choice for anyoneNoneLow wages. Not a career choice"
Store Manager/Sales Manager (Former Employee) says"The company treats the employees like a number, There is no work life balance.Wages are terrible. It is a very uncomfortable environment to work in for a female.minimal uniform requirementeverything"
Assistant Manager (Former Employee) says"Only worried about sales not about how well employees do the tasks they are assigned, also managment only looks at what the bottom line looks like not about what the employees are doing on their time"
RSS (Current Employee) says"They do not pay according to experience. They do not respect your availability. They do not fairly rotate the schedule, or treat people with equality. Employee discountThey do not respect your initial application availability. "It's not a binding contract", is what HR states."
Material-Handler/Stocker/Order picker/Trainer/Team Leader (Former Employee) says"I worked here for 6months. The entirety of that 6 months we have been ATROCIOUSLY understaffed, even with temps (that's they fired when temps were coming up on their hire-in date, because they, "couldn't afford them"). There is no formal training, and if you are "trained", you get trained by other people who have also not been trained. So it's alot of just figuring stuff out on your own, and then your supervisors will constantly berate you and lower team morale with negativity asking, "why are your guys' numbers so low?" I don't know, maybe because nobody knows what they're doing because they haven't been trained??? Common sense, maybe? Your team will also be promised that individual trainings will happen, but that won't happen for months, and when management finally decides to do something, they'll simply just follow you around and act attentive to what you're doing OR they'll sit all the way in their office and watch your numbers reclined back in the comfort of their office chairs. You have a choice of working 10 hour days, 5 days a week, and then you have to come in for a mandatory 6-8hrs on Saturday OR work 12+ hrs a day and you don't have to come in on Saturday, but management will still constantly harass you about coming in. Pay when I started, started at 14.50 for 1st shift, and 14.75 for second and third. Machine operators get an extra 25¢. Designated trainers get an extra 25¢. All EXTREMELY low pay for a warehouse position, and especially machine operator/trainer position. Wage has recently been raised 50-75¢ depending on shift. But the great thing about that, is that"
Certified Retail Parts Specialist (Former Employee) says"disregard for a persons health and safety. Women are not given the same opportunity as men despite their knowledge and degrees. Not a good place to bIt's a joke jobSexist and underappreciated"
Assistant Store Manager (Current Employee) says"If it’s part time on your time, just take advantage but otherwise the ones at the top are a bunch of a**holes and don’t care about anyone but themselves.Discount on parts?Working for ignorant people and wasting life"
Merchandiser (Former Employee) says"They expect you to work your life away off for not enough pay. If you don’t cover someone else’s shift your not a favorite and if your not a favorite they won’t keep you they try to get rid of you or just treat you like no one so you quit. Store manager in Kelso knows nothing about her job"
Territory Sales Manager (Former Employee) says"This company only cares about the money they make and not about its employees. Managers have fired individual solely on how they feel about them (hate/ like) versus quality of work the employee gives. If you are a woman customers are sexist and upper management does nothing to protect their female employees. If you are in management you’re whole job is based on sales but they will not give you the crew you need to make those sales. If you are looking to apply here. Don’t. You will get nothing but stress, headaches, and coworkers who don’t appreciate you."
Manager/ parts salesman (Former Employee) says"Store manager and district manager are rude and don’t know how to do their jobs. . Hours are horrible. Staff doesn’t know anything about parts or cars. Discount. Quick hireManager. Hours. Pay."
