Nizoral Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback
Ketoconazole, sold under the brand name Nizoral among others, is an antifungal medication used to treat a number of fungal infections. Applied to the skin it is used for fungal skin infections such as tinea, cutaneous candidiasis, pityriasis versicolor, dandruff, and seborrheic dermatitis. Taken by mouth it is a less preferred option and only recommended for severe infections when other agents cannot be used. Other uses include the treatment of excessive hair growth and Cushing's syndrome.
Dan is an unsatisfied customer who shared her point of view in Influenster, "I’m prone to a flaky scalp but I really find no positive difference between Nizoral anti-dandruff shampoo and any other shampoo. In fact, I feel like it possibly even makes my scalp greasier faster, which exacerbates the issue. I gave this product a fair shot as I bought two bottles and went through them both because I REALLY wanted it to work. Fortunately, I do like the floral scent, but it’s definitely not for everyone as it’s low-key grandma-esque. Maybe this shampoo works for other related flakiness issues, but it hasn’t helped me personally. It’s also pretty expensive for the small quantity which isn’t ideal when it doesn’t help."
