Nfc Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback

From Everything.Sucks

Near-Field-Communication (NFC) is a set of communication protocols for communication between two electronic devices over a distance of 4 cm (11⁄2 in) or less. NFC offers a low-speed connection with simple setup that can be used to bootstrap more-capable wireless connections.NFC devices can act as electronic identity documents and keycards.

This is Tom's answer to the question: How often do you use NFC, or have you ever used it? on Quora, "I don't and never have, but not necessarily because I don't want to in the future. It comes down to two things for me: - Not many locations near me accept it. I live in a college town in New York state, about an hour outside of NYC. Very few places I spend money accept NFC payments, or if they do they are not very good at making customers aware of it. - (More importantly) Lack of iPhone NFC. I use an iPhone. I like my iPhone. Until very recently, no iPhone existed with NFC capabilities built in, and I have no intention of using an NFC case/accessory just to allow me to spend my money with slightly more convenience and security. Even now, I don't see myself getting an iPhone 6 until probably a year or two from now, if that. In the meantime, I don't feel like I'm missing out on much."
