Murata Manufacturing Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback

From Everything.Sucks

Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (株式会社村田製作所, Kabushiki-gaisha Murata Seisakusho) is a Japanese manufacturer of electronic components, based in Nagaokakyo, Kyoto. Honorary Chairman Akira Murata started Murata Manufacturing as a personal venture in October, 1944. On December 1950 reorganized the company into Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. with paid-in Capital ¥1 million. Murata Manufacturing is primarily involved in the manufacturing of ceramic passive electronic components, primarily capacitors, and has an overwhelming marketshare worldwide in ceramic filters, high-frequency parts, and sensors.

A former employee said this in a review about the work environment "If you are not never the one to make mistakes then Murata is the perfect job for you. Management is terrible. They have their favorites and if you are not one then you are fired oh and they tell you one thing then do another and they have the staffing agency call you to tell you your fired. Cowards!"

Current Employee - Director says

"I have been working at Murata Electronics North America full-time for more than 3 years Cons: CEO of NA has a track record of revenue growth at the cost of many poor decisions that has impacted the internal employee demise. Japan rules the company, brings in their mafia to USA, and one divergent thought or idea towards any business policy has consequences that is swift and brutal. The Japan management and USA style continues to degrade the moral and trust between the organization. The peace, unity, and respect is a front for reality of lack of trust, cooperation, and value of USA people."

says

"I worked at Murata Electronics North America Cons: Interesting work assignments lead to nice plans and ideas sitting in a file or on a shelf. No movement forward, just acceptance of the plan with no implementation. Anything new is a reaction to customer demands, not anything that's developed and offered to the customer. Little opportunity for career development or advancement; expect long hours and weekends, frown on use of paid time off. Additionally, was cautioned by my manager about letting management know about a medical condition. He said it wouldn't be good for my career anyone knew."
