"Paid as a commis chef but did much more! Sometimes you had to be there for 15 hours because the head chef didn't let you home. Left you to feel useless and never said thank you for the job you did."

"There's no such thing as a typical day at the Mondrian because you never know what can happen. The best thing about working at the Mondrian is the interaction with guests because of the different cultures you're exposed to. Its great but it doesn't seem like there's room for growth within the organization. Also, upper management tends to worry more about employees conversing with each other rather than the needs of the hotel. When there's bad reviews for the hotel, the lower level employees are the scapegoat for blame. Don't believe me, just ask a current employee."

"I am responsible for all food items as well as employees and banquet services. This was my first opportunity in the hotel industry which proved to be very educational. I am now at a point in my career where i am ready to make the next step into management."

"The first years at the Mondrian it was good and it felt as if I could grow however, when a new manager came into the housekeeping department, he used me to look good by leaving me with not enough staff to clean the hotel in busy days and blaming me for rooms not being ready. He climb the ladder. Cons: the new people"
