"Too many managers for too few people. Too many of these managers were straight out of college and had zero field experience and therefore did not understand the basic concepts of construction."

"spend most of the day doing all the grunt work of bringing all the wood to the framers in the begining..then eventually the tought me how to read blueprints and install. bosses were old grumpy men and had unreliable help. hardest part of the job was being leaned over working at my feet. most enjoyable part was finishing a house and seeing the finished product Cons: did a lot of damadge to my body"

"Before they changed foreman I really liked it but the new guy was always messing up and then would yell at everyone around for it but other then that I liked the people I worked with and the people above the foreman"

"McCarthy would have been a great company but they need to give their employees more opportunity to advance... They have a great group of people but know one has the chance to advance... I would love the chance to work with them again but with more room for advancement.. Cons: No room for advancement."

"If you show initiative they will advance you. Management had my way or Highway attitude which is bad for morale in my opinion. Mainly Unskilled labor. Cons: Low pay"

"A typical day is getting workers ready and in place to start the day. This requires getting them ready by escorting them thru different parts f the airport"

"Start by getting tools and material and work area ready for the day. We fill out our THA and get are floorplans and get the job done. We are constantly drinking water, and take to 10min breaks and one 30min lunch. Some of the bosses are cool others are not. My co-workers are all the best hard working guys, and there is always something new youlearn if you ask questions. Cons: no paid vacations, not enough overtime, things do not run smoothly"
