Luigis Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback

From Everything.Sucks

Luigi's Mansion is a 2001 action-adventure video game developed and published by Nintendo for the GameCube. The game was a launch title for the GameCube and was the first game in the Mario franchise to be released for the console; it was released in Japan on September 14, 2001, in North America on November 18, 2001, in Europe on May 3, 2002, and in Australia on May 17, 2002. It is the second video game in which Luigi is the main character instead of Mario, with players controlling him as he explores a haunted mansion, searching for Mario and dealing with ghosts that lie within its rooms by capturing them through a special device supplied by Professor E. Gadd.

A gamer wrote a review about Luigi’s Mansion on a site that focuses on everything related to gaming and hardware, including the latest gaming news, products, and media: Horrifying Controls But nothing in the game will frustrate you more than the controls. You have two styles to choose from, omnidirectional or horizontal only. Omnidirectional controls allow you to aim up and down using the right analog stick but turns right and left into “rotate clockwise and rotate counter clockwise.” You also can’t invert the Y axis for aiming up or down, which is frustrating. Horizontal only controls greatly simplify aiming with the right stick to “press in the direction you want to aim” but to aim up or down you have to tilt the controller up or down.

Yep, those are your only two options: tank controls or motion controls. Have fun!

Another issue with the controls is that they are poorly tutorialized. The game tells you to use face buttons for your flashlight, darklight, and a lot of other functions. This makes it seem like you can’t use them and aim at the same time… except you can! Every face button function is also mapped to the shoulder buttons. You can use the flashlight with R, the plunger with L and the darklight with both at once. The thing is, the game never tells you this! I figured it out just by screwing around!

Many reviews out there have docked Luigi’s Mansion 3 points for forcing you to switch between face buttons and right analog stick, except you never have to. It’s just that you can get through the entire game without figuring out these extra button mappings. The fact that Nintendo made such a simple oversight is almost worse than if they didn’t include the double mappings in the first place.

Aside from ghosts you’ll be hunting through the haunted hotel for one other thing: money. There are hidden gems in every floor and tons of coins. The thing is, this money never amounts to much. You can spend it on extra lives and boo locators and that’s about it. You’ll end up swamped with money by the end of the game, which actually causes you to spend less time searching the mansion. Once you have all the money you need busting open a container only to find cash is a let-down. You’ll start making a bee-line to your objectives after a while, which is a shame because a few extra shop options is all we would have needed to end up searching through these haunted corridors for hours.

Tell the world why Luigis sucks!

"Absolute joke of a store. First time dealing with this website and will never be doing so again. First time I placed an order the order just sat in "being picked" status for almost a week. I reached out to the customer resolution center and they said because my mailing address is different from my shipping so there was a delay. Ok fine but you billed my card and accepted my money so that just seems sketchy to begin with. Then they wanted me to send more personal information over an email (which with all the scams now a days I'm not going to do with a business I've never dealt with). Also most websites you can just call your bank to authorize the transaction but they already took my money! So I ended cancelling the transaction and redoing it with the address of my billing. Same exact thing happened and I got the same cookie cutter response word for word when I opened a case with the customer help, now things seem even more suspicious. Shop here at your own risk if you have used this site and had good experiences good for you but if you are a new customer be careful something seems off. I like to try to support other websites besides just Amazon but this one unfortunately looks like I am going to have to stay far away from. Very very disappointed..."

"Collins Dictionary ordered in April, 2020 as a gift for my husband. It did not work. I contacted them, no reply. My Husband cantacted them. Hannah replied , asking for the order number. He replied back with the order number June 12. Here it is, July 10, and still no answer from them. He wrote them again today, requesting a refund....... After my above posting, Hannah from Shop4Megastore replied back to me. She appologized and promptly refunded my money. I was very impressed with her and how fast I received my refund. I will definately buy from them again. Now, a ***** 5-STAR rating because they corrected a customer's concern"

"Do not order from this site. I feel like I’ve been completely scammed on this site because I ordered a ps4 controller from here and it’s about to be a month since I’ve ordered it and not a single update on the tracking. I also payed to get the order quicker and nope still have not seen any updates and have not received my item. I payed a lot of money just to not even get what I bought. No one should have to wait this long for a controller."
