Liberty Mutual Group is an American diversified global insurer and the third-largest property and casualty insurer in the United States. It ranks 75th on the Fortune 100 list of largest corporations in the United States based on 2018 revenue. Based in Boston, Massachusetts, it employs over 45,000 people in more than 900 locations throughout the world. As of December 31, 2019, Liberty Mutual Insurance had $133.644 billion in consolidated assets, $110.025 billion in consolidated liabilities, and $43.228 billion in annual consolidated revenue. The company, founded in 1912, offers a wide range of insurance products and services, including personal automobile, homeowners, workers' compensation, commercial multiple peril, commercial automobile, general liability, global specialty, group disability, fire and surety.
One disgruntled customer shared this in a review, "I used to pay less than $100.00 a month then renewing this year it went up 300%. I called them and this ** hang up on me. No changes and everything like accident. Why is that? I called several times but seems keep trying to raise my premium. I totally don’t get."

Liberty mutual was being sold as a preferred insurance company that came at a higher price. We would have a lot of uncompetitive rates and lots of rejections. We would sell on features and benefits of the company. Our goals were realistic and we were paid fairly for our effort. Within the last year, the goal has now tripled. Call volume has greatly increased with high risk leads. Most people who are transferred and don't even know who they are talking to or why. I've had numerous sales jobs but this one's the worst. Micromanagement!!! Brutal place to work. Customers are nasty and the management is worst. You get from all sides. STAY AWAY-- they make big promises which are NOT TRUE! The company is in financial trouble. They are now out sourcing all customer service. The release over 100 plus employees to replace them with India out sourcing.health benefits.High goals so they don't have to paid commissions. Micromanagement. no job security"

They bait you in with a decent paycheck for 3 months and then raise your sales targets by 300% while lowering commission. When I started we were expected to sell 40 policies a month with the top performers in the company selling 100 a month. Recently the goal has jumped to 120+ A month, and that’s just to make a $900 commission check."

They completely out price their own products so the agents are forced to sell the more affordable policies through a variety of other carriers. Commission checks have 40% in fed taxes taken out because it is a "Bonus" and on top of it all they are paid slow and you never understand what your check is going to be. Sales Associate (Former Employee) says"This company uses a pyramid/Amway model of sales. You call everyone in your personal phone book and try to sell them a useless insurance. Not only is this 100% commission, the only people who profit are the founders because YOUR cut in sales is less than 1%. So many of my friends from college and former co-workers have fallen for this type of "get rich quick" scheme. What's worse, they will find random people on job websites (myself included) and text them saying "hey, we're looking for a manager, want to join?" If you want a real sales job, find one that pays an actual salary instead of 100% commission (those jobs should be illegal)."
