LG Chem Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback

From Everything.Sucks

LG Chem Ltd. (Korean: LG화학), often referred to as LG Chemical, is the largest Korean chemical company and is headquartered in Seoul, South Korea. It was the 10th largest chemical company in the world by sales in 2017. It was first established as the Lucky Chemical Industrial Corporation, which manufactured cosmetics. It is now solely a business-to-business company (consumer products division was spun off into LG Household & Health Care).

The company has eight factories in South Korea and a network of 29 business locations in 15 countries. This network includes a holding company in China, 14 overseas manufacturing subsidiaries, five marketing subsidiaries, seven representative offices, and two R&D centers.[citation needed] The Financial Times reported on April 2, 2017, that LG Chem would be expanding battery production in China. At the time, China accounted for one-third of the company's total sales.[2] In April 2019, LG Chem sued rival SK Innovation for allegedly stealing trade secrets for manufacturing electric vehicle batteries.

An employee tweeted this, "This company has affordable insurance and in house gym and cafeteria. As for how they treat workers is bad. They talk down to employees and change schedules often. All they care about is hitting numbers quality is bad."

"The place treats employees as disposable, costantly hiring and firing, they hire around 30 people a month and about 50 a month quit, not a good job. The hours change frequently and the handbook changes quarterly unpaid lunch, very few parking spots, constant management changes. Poor culture, poor attitudes from the top down, no human resource department for individuals. noneshort breaks unpaid lunch yearly raises"

Administration (Former Employee) says

"Unprofessional interview. Person that was supposed to interview me never showed up for the appointment. Interviewed by a newbie that could not speak clear English. Sad work ethics. Poor, poor management. Discrimination at its finest.NoneDiscrimination, bad HR, bad management"

Production and Process Engineer (Former Employee) says

"You will have no life working for LG. The korean management will expect you to be on call 24-7 and berate you for going home to sleep regardless of how many hours you put in. Koreans are the only ones promoted to management positions and they will always have final say regardless of how unqualified said korean is to make said decision. They have no quality department, its a sham."

None - "Anonymity" would be compromised (Former Employee) says

"LG Chem uses its international status to bring in employees from its native countries of Korea and the Middle-East. There is not an interest to grow its U.S. locations with U.S. employees. LG Chem's underlying intentions is to use its business status as a means to secure employment for people of Korean or Middle-Eastern decent in order to fulfill U.S. government "green card" requirements. For every 1 native U.S. employee in this company, you will find at least 5 non-native employees that are "green card" holders here to "get an education, then go back home" or "in the process of becoming a U.S. citizen." LG Chem dabbles is the type of "non-native" business practices our government has been claiming for years that is not fair to U.S. native employees. Yet, no U.S. government officials have done a thing to stop LG Chem's "green card employee" manufacturing.None - same typical benefits compared to other companies.Too many non-native employees; not enough U.S.-native employees."

Rather than its who you know meaning that if you dont kiss butt you are getting no where."

Technical operator (Former Employee) says

"So while I worked there they had a culture of “anyone is replaceable” which is a terrible way to run a company. My supervisor was literally the devil and didn’t care about her employees. I happened to go through the hardest time of my life at lg and they fired me for it and wouldn’t allow me to talk to my own team members. It’s a Korean ran company so the cultural difference is huge. They believe in work work work with no time off"

"Often work 7 days in a row for a long period of time. We went through many many people. For a long time only me and another man were the only production employees when minimum we were supposed to have 7. Management is just terrible! Harassment is a huge issue here with management and they just find a way to let go the people who are being harassed. Pay is great though. It’s very competitive with other companies in the area. That’s what you get for working those hours and in a very loud and stressful environment.Pay, paid lunches and breaks, 15-25-15, awesome cafeteriaManagement, harassment is daily, long work weeks, no weekends"

"I received the Viessmann Vitodens 111-W 35KW Combi, on Saturday 8/02/2020. I bought it online, not knowing it's actual size. I have since phoned Zerohomebills to try and return the boiler and exchange it for the VIESSMANN VITODENS 100-W 35KW COMBI BOILER. I was told that they wouldn't exchange the boiler as the box had been damaged and isn't in its original condition. I believe that by law they have to accept returns within 14 days of purchase- "I have the right to cancel and return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification." I find it extremely frustrating that they are more concerned with the condition of the box and will not accept the unused and undamaged product. I was never informed that damaging the box would not allow me to exchange the product. The boiler, weighing 64kgs, was delivered by a single person whom I assisted to carry the boiler inside. It was then left in the middle of the kitchen floor. I then removed the boiler from the box and placed the box outside for refuse collection where it then got wet in the rain. The product is in perfect condition and the fact that they will not exchange it due to the condition of the box is highly unprofessional. It's been on going and this issue is still unresolved. After this review went up I was sent an email stating that they closing the case and will not be taking the boiler back. I am now taking legal action. Thanks for the 'amazing' costomer care."

"We are hoping that by writing this review, we can resolve this issue! On JUNE 18, 2019, we purchased 3 inverters, order #28313 in the amount of BP 3,486.00. They have blamed DHL, we have not heard from them since October, no replies to our emails and no one answers the phone. We even offered a shipping address in the Netherlands, to simplify delivery, as these were shipped from their warehouse in Germany, with again, no replies. Even our demand for a refund was left unanswered. Yes, a few hours after our review here, we were contacted and shipment has new been received, thank you TrustPilot"

"In the beginning they where helpful and seemed to be professional and serious but I didn´t receive everything that I have ordered (and paid for). And now they refuse to answer my mails and calls. /Anders Update 2019-10-28: "Nonetheless we have already taken corrective action and you can expect the item with you in the next days. As per our records, all other items you requested have already been delivered. We are very sorry for this inconvenience." Haven´t heard anything from them yet! I have also tried to get in contact both by phone and mail but no answers. "The item still missing is a £394.88 item out of the total order; which is an oversized item that causes serious issues to our carrier to have it moved to your location in Sweden." - I don't think this is an OK excuse for not delivering The delays has now meant that I can't get my solar panels mounted before the winter (due to snowfall). I have done this update since this seems to be the only way for me to get in contact with them /Anders"

Nina Ross says

"Very disappointed! Lost several thousand Euros. Their representative tries to steal your money as he gets the chance. We paid 5 K + Euros for the item, but he never shipped it."
