Kijiji Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback

From Everything.Sucks

Kijiji ( kee-JEE-jee; Swahili pronunciation: [kiˈʄiʄi], village) is an online classified advertising service that operates as a centralized network of online communities, organized by city and urban region, for posting local advertisements. It is a fully owned subsidiary of eBay launched in February 2005. Kijiji websites are available for more than 100 cities in Canada and Italy.

Kijiji steals money from customers and it's is untrusty, paid advertisement doesn't show on the website, Amin shared a review at au.sitejabber.com

"Stealing money from innocent customers. I use Kijiji a lot to rent out my property. I always paid the huge amount to top add but still, it does not even come on the 10th page. Recently as on April 2, 2020, I paid $22.54 as a fee for an urgent add, and still, I cant see my add. These people really stealing money from your pocket. Do not trust them. Do not pay them for top add, urgent add, etc."

"I worked at Kijiji full-time for more than 3 years Cons: Top management has no idea what they're doing, don't listen to other employees. Broken legacy systems, unrealistic goals and refusal to recognize competitors."

"I have been working at Kijiji part-time for less than a year Cons: Their customers service is just horrible, they are money gready folks that don't care about their customers. Very bad influence on employees. You have no help if you need."

Former Employee - Account Manager says

"I worked at Kijiji full-time for less than a year Cons: Constantly changing sales targets. Leadership is young and immature. Reps are punished for achieving sales targets with higher and higher targets, with obscure rules put in place that seem set on ensuring targets are not surpassed. Essentially a call center, with call-time closely tracked and monitored. I would not recommend this job to anyone. During the interview they will tell you almost anything to get you to accept the offer, but once you are in it is burn and turn. There is no room for growth and career development, only focus is on the next deal you can bring in."

Former Employee - Technical Support Specialist says

"I worked at Kijiji full-time for more than 3 years Cons: Where to start? - Surprisingly cruel management if you're an AWF (Alternative WorkForce, AKA contract worker) --> This represents the majority of workers in the office. FTEs receive compassionate treatment and benefits, however many AWFs are treated disgracefully, and are not able to participate in work events. - Management obscures the fact that you will not be a full Kijiji/eBay employee until after you have been hired. - If you happen to get sick and are an AWF, start looking elsewhere as management may try to fire you for taking sick days. - Approximately zero career opportunities if you are an AWF (contract-worker in perpetuity)."

Former Employee - Cashier says

"I worked at Kijiji full-time Cons: Employees get laid off alot"

Current Employee - Anonymous Employee says

Former Employee - Account Manager says

"I worked at Kijiji full-time for more than 3 years Cons: Management has tunnel vision and weren't adapting to the changing digital environment. Wrong people were promoted and praised. Product wasn't advancing in the right direction. No real room for growth"

Current Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"I have been working at Kijiji full-time for more than a year Cons: Still a great place to work but can feel the environment changing (negatively). Employees losing faith in the company. No room for growth."
