Jantoven Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback
Warfarin, sold under the brand name Coumadin among others, is a medication that is used as an anticoagulant (blood thinner). It is commonly used to treat blood clots such as deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism, and to prevent stroke in people who have atrial fibrillation, valvular heart disease or artificial heart valves.
Consumer Reports in 2011 reported that, "Jantoven warfarin tablets were recalled nationwide. The recall was voluntarily launched by the manufacturer after it found that a single bottle labeled as containing 3 milligram tablets actually contained 10 mg tablets, according to the Food and Drug Administration. Taking that much excessive warfarin, a blood thinner used to prevent blood clot, could lead to life-threatening bleeding."
